Car: 03 wrx
ECU/Harness: 03 WRX, A4TC400L calibration
Engine: USDM EJ257

AVCS is NOT connected to any wiring obviously. AVCS oil feeds ARE hooked up.

Does the AVCS sit on zero, full advance, or whatever it was last at and its stuck there?

Thanks

AVCS does not control lift. Thats VTEC. AVCS rotates the camshafts inside the cam sprockets to adjust valve timing via rotating the cams more or less using a control valve and engine oil pressure. The valves still ride on the same lobes, which always have the same lift and duration.

It seems like its stuck at full advance (40 degrees)

Its got killer low end power and totally dies on the high end. Also its bucking a little at part throttle on the highway which again would indicate to me the AVCS at full advance. But I dont know for sure because obviously I'm using the wrx ecu and it cant tell whats going on...
