My car starts but dies seconds after w/ a very rough idle.. A friend of mine popped in today and I showed him how it acted.

He noticed that there was smoke coming from my air filter, wtf is this? Is it apart of my issue why my car wont stay running?

or cylinders firing order mixed up?

Its not like alot of smoke or anything. The smell sort of smells like its coming from somthing electrical(hard to describe, sorry). Could it be a bad MAF?

The engine itself ran good in the car it came from
