Getting ready to do my 30k service this weekend. I wanted to know if I hit all the objectives and/or if anyone has anything else to add (Even if its on the edge of being anal). I want to do a thorough job.

Oil Change
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
PCV Valves
Coolant Change
Spark Plugs

Brake fluid change. Other than that you pretty much nailed everything.

I would suggest to change oil and oil filter every 2500-3000 miles. I have been doing that for 9 years with both my civic (134K) and WRX (114K), and never had a problem. Been doing Castrol 10-30 every 2500 miles with a new oil filter every oil change.

Unabomber,
I understand how annoying some people's posts on this board may be but you have gradually worsened with your replies. I enjoy reading your manifesto's and you do incredible write-ups. However, I felt this did apply to this forum (I own a 2.0L and it is engine related), I have read the sticky's (I was trying to get a feel for what others have done at their intervals on top of the regular service), and I understand maintenance ahead of schedule will net me nothing but it'll gice me a better peace of mind.

^^^^^ +1 Unabomber seems to have a large something up somewhere. maybe hes going through menopause??? oh well, we just have to deal with it as hes going nowhere fast...lighten up a little though man, we arent all as l33t as you cuz you roXXor...

However, make sure you do rotations every 10k, or every second oil change if youd like. if you havent had a balance as of lately you may want to look into it, with 30k gone on the tread, you probably have a little balance issue. looks good though.

I have wonderful Subaru experience by opening the owners manual and doing what it says, when it says, using what it says. Why does so many try to out guess what the manufactures suggests by doing something different. Subaru has generated 10,000 times more data that anyone on any NGs guessing. O-Yes; I agree with Unabomber as his answer was to the point and I think correct without any sarcasism. JMO
