View Full Version : Fuel fiter Inside Pictures

So I replaced my fuel filter yesterday and was curious what the inside looks like, so I cut it open with a saw and here are some pics for ya.

BTW, anybody know what the little yellow crumbs are and why it's all shattered? Is it suppose to be like that? I don't think it's a good thing.

I have no idea what that is but it looks nasty. How many years and miles on that filter?

...that was the glue that holds the filter to the bottom of the can

90K kms so about 56K miles. Not sure if the previous owner has chagned it or not.

My trusted butt dyno tells me that the car is much smoother and gas pedal feels a lot easier to press on now:banana:

Gas mileage seems to be improved also, although it'll take a few tanks to know for sure.
