Welcome to the April GT4 challenge at Nurburgring.

Driver's asked for a long challenge at the Ring. So here we go.
Three classes for all so you can run the car you like or run then all.
So Pick your weapon and start driving.

THE RULES:

Normal Production Cars only (not race car road or rally)
All mods are allowed except NOS
ASM and TSC allowed
Two tires on the track at all times, that includes the rumble strips
Post your times like this. Time/Car/HP/Tires/Your user name
Take a screenshot of your time and save your ghost replay.(Just in case of proof is needed or you can add photo to post.)

You should make Class 1 & 2 an Impreza vs Lancer challenge. On paper, the two cars are supposed to be evenly matched! ;)

Do you mind if I join in? Sounds like a good time to dust off the 22b.

Might want to go ahead and list what cars are not allowed. There are not that many and people can argue all day about what is "production".

I'll be trying this out with I think my Ver VII or something. I'll post when I do.

Answer to questions asked.

Chiketkd - Just to clarify, by ALL MODS except NOS, does this mean that weight reduction is legal? Yes weight reduction is legal. If you can buy it you can use it. Just not NOS.

Virrdog - what is "production". GT4 will show the car a "normal" car. Not shown as a race, rally, or concept. Look are the photo on post 10. I beleive all the Subarus are only listed as normal or race(road/rally) car.

asked by two drivers - legal cars ? 22B and STi spec C are normal car and good to run.

Also if driver would like a Subaru race car class or a non-subaru class I may add one.

Well, I put 4 off pushing wide coming out of one of the turns so this isn't an official time, but just did a lap in the spec-c and clocked a 6 min 23.791 seconds. Definitely left a lot of time on the track and in the car tuning. This is gonna be fun widdling times down over a month.

Yup, the Spec C should be A-Okay! I just started out with the heavier STi model first... ;)

P.S. I really prefer the handling of the GC STIs. Their turn-in is so much sharper!

This is my ring time with a fully modded evo, no NOS. Im expecting sub 6's because we all know sti's are faster :p

22B should be legal just like the Spec C. How do you get a 22B btw? Can you buy it, or do you have to win it?
I havent even tried an impreza, but i am expecting around 6' flat

P.S. I had a run that was over 5 seconds faster than this but had a huge spin. I should definitely be in the teens before long...

Keep the times coming. I ran some laps in a 22B set-up still needs work. But it's a good start.

It is in the used car lots. It's not in the lot all the time. The car in used car lots changes on a 7 day cycle. So you will need to keep checking them.

If you are farther along you can catch them again by adding multiples of 700 to the day numbers. The list cycles every 100 weeks (700 days).

My time was about 12 minutes, but the track was wet and I was in a 320d wagon :lol:




I'll be getting the ps2 and wheel out after I move this month, moving sucks.

I ran a dirty 6min 16.xxx in the Spec C. Will do a cleaner run and post a pic later tonight. If I do it right, I should have a time over 5 seconds faster...

I think I'll have to give this one a shot.

I tried this and so far only getting about 6'50.xxx in a 22b. Track is so bumpy that it's hard to keep it on the track on certain parts. :( I have adjusted the spring rates, bound/rebound and sways but still wobble wobble :( Not sure

Try turning up the downforce if you haven't done that already. Makes a big difference on a track like this.

It ain't easy to drive the 22b. My best thus far is around a 6'21.xxx but that was with two huge spins. This car is just twitchy...

You might want to look at the toe settings, maybe need to toe-in?

I can tell you that rear toe out at 160mph is scary! :eek:
I need to use a new tuning scheme, the one I have now is set for Tsukuba and tight tracks.

Nice time! As a general rule, you need to show a screen shot of your actual lap to show that you didnt use nitrous. Im not accusing you of using nitrous, but your time means nothing to me without proof.;)

Nice setup. My roommate and I both have wheels and we always keep them attached to the kitchen table which is sitting in front of the TV now. I've got a pair of stock STi seats sitting around, so maybe I'll rig up something like you've got.

As a far as I know there isn't a cheat for unlimited money, but if you do the Special Condition race that gives you the Toyota RSC Rally Raid car, then you can sell that for 200k+. Can't remember which race it is but you can probably find out online.

The Special Condition race that gives you the RSC Rally Raid is "Easy, Rally de Capri - Costa di Amalfi". You won both forward and reverse race. Then you win the Raid and it go for 265,000. It will take you less than 10 minutes.
