COBB Tuning announced last week that Grand-Am Koni Challenge regular Chris Lock will drive the COBB Time Attack STI at the upcoming Subiefest2 Time Attack. Subiefest2, presented by Subiesport Magazine, is an all Subaru Event, consisting of car shows, autoX, vender demos, and of course, the Time Attack on the main track. Contesting the Street class, Lock and COBB will go head to head against the best tuners in the industry in a series of elimination style sessions as they battle for the fastest lap of the day...

Don't expect it out too soon....there is alot of development to be done and they still need to be making money developing/selling parts to the public.

COBB Tuning STREET Class Winning Time: 1:29.306
The finals were quite interesting track conditions, rapidly drying in the wind with standing water in places. The combination of wet/dry made the final round quite a challenge. I hope to have some incar video up soon. GST already posted theirs on youtube.

ButtDyno 04-11-2007, 02:17 PM Is there a list of what's done to that car somewhere?
It's one of the only good looking 06's I've seen :)

Yeah the track conditions were quite challenging, and Brian drove that thing all day WITHOUT the ABS that most of the rest of us enjoyed. In this situation he said he got the LR in one of those puddles near the wall and it locked up. Once I get my video up, you will see that I was not going anywhere NEAR that wall!
I don't understand why we should be in the Unlimited class with that car. We actually had the FULL interior in the car (unlike others in the "Street" class), on street tires, and overall just a very streetable setup. I've told our guys to keep things like Carbon doors and such off the car because it's really meant to demonstrate what any enthusiast could do to their car with our parts. And unlike what has been mentioned, those are stock fenders...no wide body.
Anyway, we already have an Unlimited car. :)
Great job, Chris. Sorry the car wasn't more sorted for you! Maybe next time you'll get more than 3 laps to actually learn the car!
Cheers,
Trey @ COBB

Hi Trey!
Tom
nxttruck2002 04-12-2007, 12:25 AM Trey, could you post what the wheel/tire spec's are?
parker/slc/gc8fan 04-12-2007, 01:05 AM Just the wheel and tire?
I think there may be spacers, and other things like that.
Subie Gal 04-12-2007, 01:08 AM that car was impressive to watch in person.....

The reason i say that is i wanna see what this car can really do. It looks nice but hasn't really performed all the well from what i can remember at time attacks(great driving in the videos btw). I'm a cobb customer and im just speaking my mind.
I do look forward to to seeing the full cf car and see how it holds up against the JDM time attack cars.
