Anyone know the 0-60 time for an auto WRX? thanks

dont know about 0-60 but most poeple are running 15.3-15.6 in the quarter mile. about the same as a well driven GC8 2.5RS with an exhaust. so 0 to 60 is probly about 6.7 to 7 seconds. pretty significant difference from the 5spd WRX.

One of the dealerships told me that it's 6.4...
This is the number they use in their ads...hence the reason why owners and mags are getting manual tranny numbers in the 5.5 to 5.8 range...

Why did SOA use the slower #?....beats me...

It seems that the auto WRX's are getting anywhere from low 15's to low 16's in the 1/4 mile. The manual trannied WRX's are not necessarily faster, it's just they get a better start than the autotranny cars because they can launch their car at a higher rpm.

Since the autos are averaging times in the mid 15's, I can guesstimate their 0-60mph is in the mid to low 7's.

I believe it is 7 seconds flat for the auto. The 6.4 0-60 you are referring to was done with a 5 spd, but with 3 people in the car. They quoted such a high time to keep insurance rates down a little, but the actual 5 spd time is about 5.7 seconds.

Curious how there was recently a contingent of auto WRX owners arguing that the auto was just as fast as the manual in the 1/4 mile.

my take on the 6.4 secs advertised, besides what's already mentioned, is even though mid to high 5 second runs are possible, that 6.4 is much easier for the average owner to attain, therefore Subaru is only covering their asses, to not have to deal with stupid claims/bítching about the car being slower than advertised...

think about this for a second, a MANUAL WRX is a mid 14 second car (14.4-14.5)

i would have trouble believing that an automatic n/a 2.5RS (exluding cobb-tuned internals maybe) could break 15.5

any auto RS owners with 1/4 mile times? and mods?

I just realized something for the first time. You mean to tell me that there aren't any Subarus (XT's, Imprezas, SVX's, etc) with an automatic transmission that have broken into the 14 second area of the 1/4 mile as of late? *Dancing around* Hell Yeah! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif I feel pretty good about it all now that you put it in that perspective. Look up AndresRS01...he has a manual rs with God knows whatelse.

And I have heard that the automatic imprezas are almost as fast as a manual impreza.
