A buddy of mine just picked up a 2005 non-turbo Forester. He'd like to put an exhaust on it, but I have no clue what his options are. Can someone please guide me in the right direction as to what's available?

Pretty much anything for the N/A Impreza of like year will fit. Stromung makes a nice can, as well as SPT. Or call up your local exhaust dude and he can build one pretty inexpensive.

BTW, I've gota brand new Magna Flow I just had built, flat blacked, and wrapped I'm looking to unload...

+1 for Stromung... they make a nice Forester-specific catback for the N/A.

1. Stromung
2. Prodrive - don't tell them this, though...LOL. They use 2.5" piping, which is the same piping that the Turbo Forester uses...and it'll mate right up.

I personally love my Stromung catback system. I definitely wouldn't mind switching to the Prodrive unit if I had the extra $$ laying around, however.

I've been getting a lot better pull off the line, and top end with this Magna Flow. I had them build it real specific like and it's perfect. All but the sound that is. The single wall tip is a bit raspy at WOT. Otherwise it's got just the right boxer grumble and performance characteristics...

RealSlow, if you can get me pictures to kkoepp31@aol.com I will forward them on and see if he's interested. Shoot a price as well.

I'll look into that Stromung unit. Anyone have any direct links to vendors that supply it?

The accumulation of 3-4 months of my own searching on the subject of exhaust.

For catbacks, the Stromung and Greedy Evo2 are well loved, however, I'm more of the mindset that a good muffler and an exhaust shop can can get you there cheaper.
