MTL_SLVR_WRX 04-18-2007, 12:05 PM hey, chillax! (why do people think the answer to all of life's problems is bombing other countries)
let's not generalize a people from one bad apple. my mom is filipina and she's wonderful!!! :D
funny....i was the guy who pm'ed him asking if the wheels were still for sale. he said YES!
that's what lead to him being exposed as a fraud.
off with his head!!!
Good luck newgensti, with whatever comes about with this whole ordeal.
r_mutt 04-18-2007, 12:43 PM BOMB the PHILIPPINES

Same thing happened to me. Newgensti - check your PM's.
newgensti 04-18-2007, 07:46 PM This just keeps getting better, Now I recieved some more information and a phone number also
Guy I supposedly bought the wheels from tells me his name is Mike Del bosque, he gave a phone number which he answered the phone at to confirm that it was a real deal. Now as you can see it says he is from Oregon, yet the phone number is registered to a Myrna J Santos in Houston Texas, and his E-Mail for paypent to paypal is a secondary email on the account and the primary is a Carlo Ramos
So now I have three names and three locations and 2 different e-mails along with a phone #
Mike Del bosque - Oregon ?
Myrna J Santos - Texas
Carlo Ramos - Texas
I am going to have to make a few phone calls and see if I cant get anything else straightened out. I mean best case scenario here is wheels show up at my door and I become extremely apologetic for this, but for some reason I just dont see this happening
newgensti 04-18-2007, 07:51 PM So I also did a search in Oregon for Del bosque and there is only 1 person listed by that name in the entire state, so I may also give them a call to see if they are any relation.
newgensti 04-18-2007, 08:56 PM Just to clear things up I had the wrong guy from the Philippines so anyone who is suicide bombing can come home.
He is from Houston Texas
r_mutt 04-18-2007, 08:57 PM paypal sucks. they need to fix their stupid system and somehow have a "waiting area" for the money- so that someone can't take it out until goods are recieved and ok'd by the buyer.
newgensti 04-18-2007, 10:32 PM that brings up the problem that people need money for shipping, and alot of people who sell things dont want to wait for money to clear thats why they dont take money orders or checks. Paypal does offer buyer protection where they will reimburse you money and they also have a fairly good claim service. I have nothing against paypal at all. its just you need to research your seller better these days I guess.
newgensti 04-18-2007, 10:38 PM and also I believe as long as you have an open claim in your account it freezes whatever assets are in the account and wont let you remove money untill the claim or dispute has been taken care of
r_mutt 04-18-2007, 10:54 PM the problem with paypal, is that (and i know you don't want to hear this) their buyer protection program isn't so great. it can take months to get resolved if it ever does. you also don't need a paypal account to receive money, just an e-mail address. so if you are just trying a quick scam, it's possible without ever ruining your paypal account status.
most people don't leave money in the paypal account, so when paypal freezes an account, they don't have any leverage as there is no money in the account to "freeze".
when paying with paypal, don't finance it with your bank account, but with a credit card (there is that option). if there is a problem- dispute the charges with your credit card so your bank account stay's in the black. when there is no problem- just use that cashola in the bank to pay the credit card balance immediately. don't let it ride- that's how people get into debt.
as for people needing money for shipping- it's not like it's $200 to ship smaller items. unless you're shipping wheels, the cost of shipping won't keep the kids hungry at night- if it is, then that person needs to have less expensive hobbies.
:)
