Hello everyone,
Today I went for alignment and oil change and the shop recommended serpentine belts replacement based on the condition of the belts.
They quoted me at around $160.00 for both belts.
I tried finding tutorial on a DIY for the job, but couldn't come up on anything.
I know there are some people that have done this themselves, but no one made a How-To guide.
I am trying to determine if it is something I can do on my own.
What do you suggest?
Can anyone post a write up on the procedure?
Thanks in advance.

The V-belt and A/C belt are super easy to replace, spend the $30 it might cost to buy them and install yourself. If you can change oil, or replace an air filter, you can do the belts.
Here is a video on how to install a crank pulley, but it also shows you exactly how to remove the belts and reinstall them Click me! (http://videos.hspn.com/?videoid=65&catid=1)
I was a noob when I did mine, and that video made it really easy for me. Hope this helps.

Yeah $160 is nuts, the belts are cheap even from the dealer and if it takes you 30 minutes to change them yourself that's a long time.
Thanks a lot guys.
That is exactly what was looking for.
It looks VERY easy.
Definitely worth saving $120+.

I watched the other ones about the Cobb shifter and the Braille battery install.
Did anyone else notice how close he came to disaster on the battery install? He connected and tightened down the negative terminal first. Then he tightened the positive. If that wrench had gone another 1/4 inch and touched the hold down bracket it would have been an arc welding demonstration.

unintended arc welding demo! i've seen lots of fairly competent people do exactly that... amazing actually! the negative terminal should be the first and last thing you touch when you work on anything related to your car.

It's super easy. The hardest part was getting my hands down in there to get the new belt around the pully. If you have a (girl)friend with small, girlish hands, its even easier :)

Is there any videos like this for the timing belt?
