I have a 2005 wrx with Uppipe, TBE, Access port stage 2 93oct, Pulley, Intake (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1239733#). (All cobb) I put on an AVO actuator and now my boost is 18psi tapering down to 14.6psi at redline. It was 16.1psi tapering down to 13.6 at redline before.

Will this actuator cause the engine to run too lean?
Is it safe to run this much boost with the OTS Cobb stage 2 map?
Do I need a custom PDX map?
Should I take the AVO actuator off and put the stock one back on?

IIRC the StgII boost should be 15.8, so I would think you are pushing the motor rather hard without the proper tuning. Go and get it tuned for your specific mods.

Cobb says 16.5psi +/- 0.7psi tapering down to ~13psi at redline for stage 2.

i wonder.... i just put a bigger tmic on my stage 2 car. will i see enough gains to warrant getting the pdx map? also i plan on going 18g in about 3 months.

^^^^^^^They say about 10hp over the OTS Cobb stage 2 map for you for $150, but you would do best to wait and not have to pay again for a new map.

So, what is the max boost that Cobb's OTS stage 2 93oct can support?

The level that's programmed by Cobb for their "stage 2." Don't try circumventing it with boost controllers etc.- let the ECU do the work.

And a PDX tune.
