Heres my problem:
When I cold start my car it idles @ 1500 rpm for about 2-3 minutes untill the temp needle begins to touch the first line. After that it begins to idle VERY rough. It will surge from 1500 down to almost stalling repeatedly for about 2 minutes untill my cars almost reaches normal driving temp( in the middle of the temp gauge ). After my temp is pretty close to being warmed up it starts to idle like it would normally(700 RPM).

The previous owner told me that this on cold starts because of the modded injectors. Also, if I start my car on my (0) map which is stock the car idles perfect with out any surging or rough idling at all. So Im thinking that its either the injectors or the tune. I tried hooking up my latop through hyper terminal but the TX screen wouldnt open at all. So I cant post a log of my idle. My second question would be can I just get a different set of injectors like 740's or 850's without having to get a re-tune. I am tuned VERY conservitely at 318hp/308 on a dynapack dyno so I know I dont have to worry about maxing injectors if I go down to a 740cc injector. I just dont know if I would have to get tuned again. If you have any clue why my STI idles like this on a cold please drop a line. Thanks in advance. Nick
