So I was running a 3inch Magnaflow catback, and SPT intake, I decided I wanted to go Stage II, so In the process I ditched the SPT intake, put the stock intake back on with a Perrin Afta Maf pipe, snorkus delete, and the stock ram air piece, I then flashed to Stage I and thats where I've been at today, from the minute I pulled out of my neighborhood I could tell it was different, it was smooth, the tq seemed to come on faster and it pulled effortlessly when I got out to the interstate.

I can't wait to put my down pipe on and go stage II, for anyone considering purchasing an AP its well worth it.

Two thumbs up.

I'd give my stage 1 reflash

It actually seemed to fix some factory map problems I was having with misfires and some surging under certain boost conditions.

Very happy can't wait for stage 2, just need the time and to get the garage cleaned up enough to fit the subie in:p

give it another week for it to learn, and it'll pull like a mofo :)

yeah I was really suprised thinking that since I already had an intake and exhaust I'd be down grading going back to OEM intake and such, but I'm a firm believer that stock box, K&N, and snorkus delete is the best setup. The flash was more than noticiable which suprised me, I was skeptical, now I'd say to buy it before you think about modding anything else.

stage II is great, that's why everyone starts with that set of mods....you'll love it, it feels liek the car was meant to come factory like that...but eventually you'll want more, there's the addiction to modding :p can't wait for turbo upgrade....i love stg 2 though...

I wouldnt say that using that trick would let the ECU learn faster. It really sends the ECU's learned timing all the way advanced. I consider that risky. It's possible the map would advance too far for the car. In that case the car will detonate, once detonation occurs, the ECU will pull timing until that stops. If the car (and map) works best at the lower advance level, that means alot of detonation before the car reaches it's ideal advance.

Personally I'd prefer my ECU to learn by relalizing it's not detonating, not the other way around.

Your car, your choice.

The difference from having the SPT intake and my current setup is night and day, and I'd never recommend the SPT intake..if you saw what your IAT temps were and the timing the ecu is going to pull you'd ditch it....or you can pretend like everything is ok because your car starts and drives everyday.
