Hey guys/gals I'm looking for some reviews on the Helix RR500. If you have any info/thoughts about it, please post here and I'd also like to see some #'s. If you do post some #'s, list mods and the octane you were running.
mods if this is in the wrong spot feel free to move it as i thought this was an appropriate place...

i have an RR500 and have had it for approx 5000 miles. to support it, i have helix 860's, walbro, smc alcohol injection (50%water/50%meth) one step colder plugs, perrin intake tube, and a k&n typhoon. i am very disappointed with the turbo because of its performance and reliability. first, i had to grind the casting block off of the compressor housing and when we went to install it, either gruppe-s or helix assembeled it wrong (it needed to be rotated 30 degrees, the internal wastegate actuator was backwards, and the oil lines needed to be rearranged). as soon as it was on the dyno, it creeped like a motherfuc#$%! gruppe s said that it was not going to creep, but i highly disagree! i have to run alky constantly because of the creep. i ended up only making around 360/360. now, i think that the internal wastegate is stuck open or cracked because i am not hitting my target boost. i think its the wastegate because there is a metallic ticking coming from that area. i am going to try to get gruppe-s to help me out, but who knows... i would just go with a 20g or a fpgreen brotha.. good luck
