I just purchased an 02 wrx and not trusting dealerships or previous owners i would like to perform a rather intense service including EVERY fluid i can, all synthetic if possible. i'm a big fan of royal purple products. I already have mobil1 oil+filter anyone agree/disagree? What fluids are there to change?

Did you have something against the other 1,254,759 posts on synthetics here at nasioc? :D

In a nutshell:
1. Read the Maintenace FAQ on oil and tranny fluids.
2. RP and M1 30 weights are on the thin side. Might be ok for you or not depending on your location and driving conditions. 40 weight might be better. Read the manual!
3. Don't use M1 gear oil, it's too slippery.

...d0000d...ya gonna have a LOT of issues unless ya RESEARCH what works and what don't.....and I'll give ya a hint......ya just THINK ya know what ya doin, right now----don't let a blown motor and/or tranny make us tell ya 'We told ya so'.

research-----read---research---read more......think....

THEN do.

...oh yeah.....syn stuff in the wrong weight and or in the wrong place will make ya    :furious:
