If I had the Perrin intake, would I be able to load the base stage 2 map off of the AP? Currently, I have a Turbo XS intake and was recommended to change it.

No, to goto the stage two map you must change the downpipe. Turbo xs does make a easily installed downpipe kit for the MY06 though!

I have the TXS RFL TURBOBACK catless, perrin short ram, and cobb acessport. before the exhaust i was runniing and stage 1 map with the intake and i was running lean, not good. If i were you get an exhaust and go get a protune. even if you loaded stage 2 in 5th gear doin almost 120 at WOT your gonna get fuel cut. although just having the intake and avoiding an exhaust get a tune so you can avoid running lean.

Sorry, I should've been more informative. :D I have a 3" Bosal shorty, a Stromung Hi-Flow Cat, and a Stromung 3" Cat-back awaiting to be installed. Now, with these parts, which intake would be good to go with. I plan on getting tuned, but I just want to load in a base map for now, until I save the $$ to get it tuned.

I Have a perrin short ram intake with an ERZ catless DP, HKS catback, and a stage 2 ots map via my ap ver. 2. I have been running it now for about a week and it runs perfectly fine, although i plan on gettting a protune here in the next month. It runs fine and I have had no problems with it although everyone strongly reccomends not to...

My understanding is... run the stock intake, or get a pro-tune. Those are the only safe choices.

You know, this is probably my only gripe about Cobb. They publish so much contradictory information...

The map notes put in all caps "STOCK INTAKE SYSTEM ONLY". That seems clear, and explicit. It is also confirmed in their forum posts that you will run lean if you aren't using the stock intake with OTS maps... But then you check the SF Intake product page and it says "Compatible with Stage 1 and Stage 2 OTS maps". Now, I find here your quote from Trey saying the SPT intake is compatible with the OTS maps...

At some point, I have to ask how are we supposed to know which sources to believe? The map notes? The PDF docs (also never right)? The forum posts?

Whatever... I am running a pro-tune rather than OTS, so it really doesn't matter to me, but I am really starting to doubt their documentation. The PDF AP Userguide is so far off-base it isn't even funny. Try clearing an ODB code using the PDF Userguide as your only source of information, and you are going to find yourself confused and out of luck.

But if you scroll down to the addition map notes it will say in there that you are suppose to use the stock intake of the Cobb SF intake. I can link you to a whole debate that I had before they stated their findings pointing out their contradicting statements..... wait one...
