View Full Version : Another Stage 2 gain question

Okay, I don't race or anything even close, but I'm tired of Corolla's and Accords (or my wife's Sienna Minivan) beating me away from a light before the road converges from 2 lanes to 1.

I don't really "launch" and want to know if stage2 (AP w.DP only) will give me that quick off the line response.

Thanks

Any thoughts?

learn how to launch?

yes, it will help with response.

The dyno graphs show alot more torque and response. (add an uppipe for even better response and mid-range power)

It does take some hard driving to go fast though.

Seriously. Yeah, fine the new Accord V6's have 240 HP and have a good amount of grunt (and weight too), but Corollas? C'mon, man! Now I have pulled away in 2nd gear a couple of times (mainly because it didn't want to downshift into 1st), but I wouldn't use 2nd for any sort of acceleration from a stop

Ok, seriously, though, yeah, you've either got to give it a little more revs before taking off (and do a "launch"). Or you can be kinder to your drivetrain and go from a roll, mash the gas once you're moving, boost will come on and you'll fly past the Corolla that has "gotten the jump on you".

If this does not show you the power down low then I don't know what else to say...
StgII on my 4EAT.
