View Full Version : The AP V2 0-60 and 1/4 mile times thread!!!
06BlackSTIwith550WHP 04-14-2007, 05:53 PM I am curious to see what everyone's times are for 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile times on the AP V2, so post up your times and all the details about your car(mods and such)
0-60mph 4.8 best so far
1/4 mile 13.2 @ 114.3 w/ 2.65 60 ft (yuk)
06 STI GT30R, perrin fmic, tgv deletes, fuel system, all normal mods for this stage. Car makes about 345-360whp right now, 19psi through the turbo but the BOV has a leak so i'm guessing 16 psi to the intake manifold. Soon to have a new BOV, pulley and 23 psi tune.
B00st3dWRX 04-14-2007, 06:53 PM ^^^your only hitting a 13.2!?!?!?!?!?!? somethins way wrong
import111 04-14-2007, 07:38 PM He hit 13.2 cause of his crappy 60ft. time. His trap speed of 114mph shows that the car could easily run low 12's.

I only got to try out a 0-60 since I can't find a good 1/4mi. flat road near me besides the track which is an hour away...
0-60mph was a 4.9sec going easy on 2nd gear since my 'glass' transmission.
Launched at 5200 RPM, bogged a little.
Vince126 04-15-2007, 01:57 AM 4.41sec. 5.5k launch small bog on HKS Turbo Timer Type-1

stage 2.5 VF39 map 3rd day since flash. perfectly flat road. i'll give the 1/4 mile a shot when i find a nice spot.
i'll give it another shot once the new intercooler comes in and the ECU completely learnds (the vf39 map is tuned for STI TMIC)
Mizle 04-18-2007, 02:12 AM Does the AP save this data becuase i messed around with the new 0-60 test but cant remember the exact times i got. Was wondering if it got saved to the AP and i could pull the infomation off it or somethin.

No I do not believe it saves it. almost 100% sure it doesnt
Mizle 04-18-2007, 12:25 PM Alright guess ill just have to try and remember my times next time haha. Thanks
SeenDubAYouAreEx 04-25-2007, 12:11 AM Looks like i need to learn how to drive the rex.
2002 WRX - stock running stock map - 91 octane
I did 8 runs and was my first time driving my wrx that hard since i got it.
Best 0-60 was my first run 7.07 with a 60' of 3.1635 (haha)
Best 60' was 7th run of 2.9670 with a 0-60 of 7.1250 (another haha)
I flashed Stage 1 tonight and will do some runs later this week.
Than hopefully a stealthback/upipe install this weekend and some runs on stage 2 next week.
I was really expecting 6's but couldn't do it.
At least it looks nice???
Meh, someone's gotta suck it up, right?:furious: flame away!

haha. No one is born with the skill. Don't be to hard on yourself. Practice makes perfect, just try not to blow the tranny

Hey thanks man!
I've just read so many "oh my god you suck, why are you driving your car" responses and thought I might get some.
Stage 1 does feel REAL nice. The best way to describe is much smoother.
The gauges seem to be working really well too!
The boost showed 14.7 to 14.9 max.
I only got a chance to do 4 runs, and they were only slightly better.
It seems my 60' was relatively the same, but the 0-60 was consistently lower.
Best 60' - 2.949 -> with a 7.04 0-60
Best 0-60 - 6.922 -> with a 3.41 60 foot!?!?!? good pull and shift i guess
Glad to get in the sixes (barely) but i'm sure with a good 60' i would have a much better time.
Also, i've yet to try a 5000+ rpm launch, i've been keeping it between 3 and 4 thousand and not dumping the clutch.
I've made up a spreadsheet for fun that shows all my runs, but i can't figure out how to post it on here.
This weekend i'm doing the upipe and stealthback install, than moving to stage 2.
I'll do some more pulls next week when it's all finished!

Im in the same boat...i just got this i have an 07 wrx
best 0-60=6.5
best 1/4 mile=15.2
im scared to go over 3500 on my launch and i will deff. not dump the clutch.
my car is completely stock besides this so i wonder how hard it would be to touch 5's in the 0-60...im really dissapointed in my 1/4 mile.
but hey i still need to practice.
any tips on launch?? any tips at all?
Rum_Bacardi 05-02-2007, 09:17 AM launch arround 5.5k you'll be fine
SeenDubAYouAreEx 05-02-2007, 02:39 PM launch arround 5.5k you'll be fine
Might be OK for chwplayer since it's an 07, but i'm still quite lenient to do this with my 02 stock tranny.
I got the stealthback and upipe installed this weekend, and flashed stage 2.
I have a couple leaks I tried sealing last night so hopefully tonight I'll take her for the first spin on stage 2.
Looking to do some stage 2 runs this weekend and report back.
chwplayer09 05-02-2007, 03:22 PM they improved on the wrx tranny with the 07 right?
Acostafan 05-02-2007, 04:44 PM they improved on the wrx tranny with the 07 right?
I know that the late 03 and up cars had RA width gears but it seems like I remember Unabomber saying something about a sh**** final drive in the 06 and up cars that actually made the tranny weaker. :(
BUCKman_02 05-02-2007, 05:01 PM I know it's off topic but what about launch tips? where would be a good place to look for these, I don't want to be dumping the clutch, but I'm a little hesitant to go over 4k for launch RPM, what do most of you guys do? I have a stock tranny and clutch, the orig from the car, I'd really like to avoid having to replace them anytime in the near future too.
Thanks all......and flame on
Blazzinblue 05-11-2007, 02:14 AM I have stage 2 and I cant get below 7.00 on the 0-60, someone help me! I either have horrible starts which I dont think I do or it isnt working right.

hmmm interesting...Not to sound like an a$$ but i ran a 7.083 0-60 without launching the car at all and im also at stage 2. Maybe your shifts arnt the best? As i said im not trying to sound rude. Do you feel your a pretty good driver and shift fairly well?
Blazzinblue 05-11-2007, 08:44 AM Truthfully I do, I dont have a short shift kit or anything but I do my best with the stock throw. Have you gotten sub 7.00 because I tried not launchin and I got the same things as you. But it just never changes.
wrxdrvr 05-11-2007, 10:47 AM Don't know how the AP figures out the MPh but if you have bigger tires than stock maybe you are actually getting timed to 62 MPh or whatever...

I actually have yet to try a true 0-60 run with a launch and everything. Ill have to try that out and then let you know how it goes. Just practice though man. Lower numbers will come :D. soon youll be finding yourself like  did i really just run that (in a good way)?
subpreza 05-11-2007, 05:19 PM Has anyone ran there AP at the track to test accuracy? I plan on doing that NEXT Friday night. I will be glad to post results if need be.
import111 05-11-2007, 10:17 PM Yea, post your results on how accurate it is.
Blazzinblue 05-12-2007, 03:03 AM K after 45 some runs over the past two nights I am down to 6.256 0-60  , but thats about as good as its going to get I think. Until I dump some more money into it. The tires may make a difference aswell, I have snow tires on now so they dont bite all that great. Michigan whether sucks!!!!
SeenDubAYouAreEx 08-03-2007, 08:54 PM Bringing back a dead thread
The below image is pretty small but i dont have a good picture editor to adjust it.
If you can read it, the top is stock runs, than stage 1 runs, than stage 2 runs.
The stage 2 runs happened quite a bit later, and I still suck at driving.
I'm too worried about screwing the driveline, so I do take it easier

From stock to stage 2, i've dropped a full second in 0-60 on average and my 60' was 0.35 better on average, but that could be from getting rid of the Potenza's for the Assurance TripleTreds:banana:
05_WRX 08-03-2007, 09:14 PM 2005 WRX 4eat
PDX tuned Cobb Stage 2 plus I/H/P/UP/inlet/STi TMIC/little things that add up

0-60 4.64
1/4 13.18
84% humidity 71deg air temp Torque break launch @ 12.6psi ~2700rmp 540ft above sea level
I have gone faster at the track, but this is on a level section of highway.
But this is the same time my G-tech pro said also.
Uber-Charged 08-04-2007, 03:42 AM ok questions, i read in motor trend that the 2002 wrx cuts 5.7s 0-60 yet here on stage 1 and stage 2 you guys are cutting 6.5-7s+. Im doing the same thing according to the 0-60 test on the AP. Is it really accurate? also does anyone know where i can get a good shift light? lol =D
B_RAD_BALLA 08-08-2007, 04:44 PM so how do i get my accessport to gove me 0-60 times? i do have v2 and i cant figure it out. i'd love to post my times for you guys.
thanks,
Brad

you have to download the newest files from the COBB website, if you havent done so already (they released them a while ago). If you have, after you turn the AP on when connected to your car, there is an option you scroll to (and i can't remember the damn name now) that lets you select 0-60 or 1/4 mile measurement. Follow the instructions, make sure you're at a dead stop, than go and the AP does the rest

It's definately possible, but I like my 02 tranny the way it is, not to mention the rest of the car.
If someone handed me the keys and said "drive however you want, just get the fastest 0-60 you can" I could probably hit sub 6 second times too.
Look at 05_WRX, he hit a 4.64 stage 2. Good time!
Uber-Charged 08-08-2007, 09:54 PM woah! whats his secret?
zod02wrx 08-09-2007, 03:45 AM are you guys trying to spool the turbo before you launch? Stab the gas let of repet a few times then time the clutch with a stab on the throttle. hard to time at the track but that how i got my best 60 fts on the G-tech.
B_RAD_BALLA 08-10-2007, 01:55 PM so im not sure how to get the 0-60 software. i installed latest firmware. is that what ur supposed to do b/c it still doesnt give me those options. alos, when i falashed stage two back on my car, the check engine/ cruise light was blinkin when i turned it on. this accessport is becoming a night mare. any help would be great
B_RAD_BALLA 08-15-2007, 12:18 AM i figured it out and i got a 5.66 0-60 time like 20 minutes after flashing to stage 2. ive got a cobb intake and catless turboxs turbo back w heavy ebay wheels and slightly larger diameter tires. i launched at like 3000
Str8Gone 08-19-2007, 03:33 PM Im using an AP v.1 and went to track friday with a basic stage 2 flash and ran 13.3 at 101 with a 1.77 60 ft. Im runnin a txs catless tbe, up,mbc, perrin lwcp, greddy timing belt, homemade ram-air, perrin y-pipe, exedy stg 1 clutch, lwfw, ppg 1st - 4th helical synchro, jic coilovers and few lw parts. stock turbo and intercooler, first run since the ap and tbe

Hey good work
Practice is helping me too, my latest is now 2.63 60' with a 6.02 0-60
Fiddy82 08-21-2007, 03:32 PM I have a 06 wrx with a catless TBE, stage 2 COBB, and the best 0-60 I have gotten is 6.2 sec, haven't done 1/4 but my 60ft times are horrible 2.93 is the best i've gotten. I've been launching totally ****ty, and I just went through a clutch, so now i'm getting a Exedy stage 2 clutch installed. I need to work on launching
The Head 08-26-2007, 11:37 PM Best (and only) 0-60 time is a 3.84. I ran a 12.00 the same night (tonight) in the 1/4 mile (for real - I didn't have the AP set up).
