Do you have a picture of, or could you explain the smoke lens? Do these "blackout" when the gauge is off (like STi gauges)?

...and did I read this right: black LED backlighting (as in blacklight, as in makes white stuff glow in the dark)?

Smoked lense means they go dark when the gauge is off. Backlight is the color of the led light that illuminates when the gauge is on.
