Hi guys,

First, I want to let you guys know that I have done my search on headlight sockets and sorry that this is 2 long questions. I am in desparate need of help!

I have 2 questions that I need help with my 2003 WRX.

1) I currently took off my morettes head lights and wanted to go back to stock. When I installed the morettes, I had to cut the sockets off and splice the wires in order to install. Well, I came to my conclusion that I have lost the OEM sockets. I went to pepboys and picked up two 9007 sockets and noticed that the wires are different in colors. The sockets come with blue yellow and black wires(respectively from left to right side).

My stock OEM wires are
Passenger side:
High Beam Positive is RED
Low Beam Positive is YELLOW
Shared Negitive is BLUE

Drivers side: (I took this information from another thread)
High Beam Positive is RED
Low Beam Positive is YELLOW W/ RED STRIPE
Shared Positive is RED W/ BLUE STRIPE

I got this information from another thread but for some reason, my drivers side wires are different than the ones mentioned above. I believe the wires on my car's drivers side were Black, White and green (or blue).

I was wondering if anyone could let me know how I should approach this problem with the wires in different colors than the OEM wires. I called subaru parts and they said that Subaru do not have stock replacement sockets, they also use the ones from pepboys.

Question number 2)
I just took off my sti gauge cluster (version 8) and replaced it with my stock 03 wrx cluster. I have connected the wire that was cut before and for some reason, my stock cluster is really dim at certain spots. It seems like some bulbs are not lighting up. Can anyone chime in on why may this happen. Everything else works fine besides the lighting on the gauge.

Thank you very much for any suggestions or comments.
