I tried searching but not many threads came up. I have an HID kit arriving soon for my edms but was wondering how to wire them up. Theres a p n p kit for the projectors and the hid kit should be pnp also. Do i need to splice wires or simply hook it up? I'm new to electrical stuff, any help will be appreciated.

if you actually have a pnp harness for the edm lights, then its just a matter of wiring up the low beam to the hid's. that easy

This is what I did, and it turned out amazingly well. I also did Mattjk's bulb-flip mod: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5419277&postcount=68
I modified a wagonsho! harness, but any PnP should work.

i used that pnp harness for wagons_ho! for my tsx hid's. just connected 2 wires on each side and everything was plug and play :)

A retrofit will provide more usable light and a better beam pattern compared to your EDM's with a HID kit. It's because the halogen projectors are designed to be used with halogen bulbs. By installing a kit you'll get the lumen output of the HID but it won't be focused / directed as well as it could be.

Yet you're able to afford EDM headlights and a HID kit? If you look in the right places you can find all the parts for a retrofit, then look a little more and you'll find how to do it yourself.
Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not bashing your choice on lighting. I am simply pointing out that if you're willing to mod your car yourself, you can do alot for not alot of money.

edms + kit is going to run me about 700. I'm not exactly all for opening up 500 dollar lights that i'm looking to sell later on. I'm not looking for superb lighting. If its not going to blind other people and i can light up the road more then my halogens, i'll be happy.

not sure if you are aware of this, but those edm's do have a small amount of glare. you will amplify that by putting HID's into them. you will have dark spots because of the how the bulb sits and all in all, not the best lighting. i would sell that light/hid combo and get the real thing that you will be happy with :)

i was aware of that as well since they're not true hid projectors but they'll do for now. I came across a good deal and don't care much for the real deal.
