I cant copy the heavy wrinkle of the factory STI intakes. I have been looking for a good strong wrinkle red for the last two years with no luck. They changed the formula and now its a textured look, no heavy wrinkle.

I will post the three winners here as they come in, with the winners permission.

showing pics here of what u do and finished jobs would help. at this point i really cant think of anything i need poweder coated or what certain items i would want coated look like. the oem red crinkle would have been a very good plus for me in the future tho.

Seriously? Coat anything, it is worth it if nothing but for aesthetics (which there are plenty of things to coat that will yield much better gains.;)

Single stage color is $250 for four aluminium rims, steel is $200/4. Two stage colors or adding Clear add 40%. Tony

I have wrinkle red, but its more like textured red. Not like the STI intakes. It looks nice, but not as strong of a wrinkle. Long story short, the old wrinkle (Black, Red & Blue) had a nice heavy wrinkle effect and also had a strong odor when curing as well as a burn to your eyes when you open the doors to the oven. It must have caused cancer in lab rats because two years ago the smell was gone and so was the strong wrinkle. My favorite supplier only carries Black now and nobody has a good wrinkle like before, Ive been looking.

I was in Carlilse for the import/kit show and in Denver on Thurday. I will be with the SVO group in Carllisle for the Ford show next weekend. I saw the display for one of Ebays large powder coaters and the quality was total crap. There should be quality regulations imposed on powder coaters. I wont post the name here, but give a call and I can tell you who to avoid and they are kinda local to PA. My parents used to keep a 27' camper in Adamstown all summer.

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner on this. I just recieved my new gun system and... well its just the cats ass. I thought my old gun was good. Turns out I guess Im just really good with a cheap (not really by price) gun. The new one is awesome powerfull and new technology. Cant you tell Im impressed with my new toy :D .
