LOL. ;) well, i stopped in at the Cingular kiosk here to check out the new upcoming BB 8300. you may want to hold off another month for one of these bad boys. full QWERTY keyboard plus the trackball and camera. it's pretty nice. supposed to be released this month. :) which also means the cost of the 8800 should go down a little as well (i'm hoping).

Hope, there are only two things I have not been able to figure out with my phone. One....how do I assign numbers for voice calls? Do I have to have the numbers stored on my phone instead of my sim card? Also....is there a way to change what the side buttons on my phone do. I'd rather not have one of them be internet in case I accidentally bump it sometime.

yes. because unless you buy the phone from AT&T Cingular and use false info, you will not be able to get an iphone. they have a 5 yr contract with Apple to be the ONLY provider. And you can't just "unlock" the phone by pushing a button. Someone somewhere has to figure out the codes to break into the phone and "unlock" it for use with other companies. If you do give false info on your application for the phone plan, not only will they catch up to you in 4-6 months (all calls must be made within their home calling area - does not include AK) they will cancel your account, charge you all fees and then also add to your credit history FRAUD for false information. that's a lot of money, hassle, and bad credit to get a "better deal." as I stated above, this phone is for the true Apple DIE HARDS and those who money is not an issue nor is price. ;)

yes, you can buy an iphone at full retail $600-700 but it will not work up here.
