this summer i am planing on doing swaping a 95 2 door impreza and right now it looks like my best option is a jdm sti version 5 drivetrain my friend is selling for 4500. my only worry is that it will be too expensive to tune because you cant use open ecu. what do people use to tune version 5 and also would getting a totaled 2004+ usdm sti be a better option.

A:for 4500 it had better come with a tranny (and maybe a diff)
