ECS makes a pedal bracket for the drive by wire.

agreed, I calibrated mine to read 100%. Drops the pedal down to the stock height.
ECS FTW!

I can vouch for the part. It's well made, I just wish they made it work for the 06 FBW pedel. I had to rig mine to work.

It's pretty easy to make a bracket just by welding some nuts to some metal stock and some holes in another.

that group of pedals doesnt really help with the gas pedal unfortunately, it provided me with no problems though. and im not up to date on my welding skills so i just ordered the bracket...

FYI, this will not work well....;) I've already tried it!! The clutch pedal pushes and puts pressure on that edge you said to cut(cause it doesnt bolt up, right?). It will pull that bracket down on that side and create unnecassary problems with your clutch. You might wanna reconsider, get the bracket!!
It doesnt work well because the "fixed" washers(where the clutch master cylinder bolts on) are thicker on the STi pedal assembly, than the RS.

hey, just got my wrx clutch box for my 96 coupe and coming from cable, entire dash and everything is out, held that same box up and it sticks out too far because the metal bushings i guess you could call them sticking out surrounding the brake booster mounting holes, i will have to evenly cut them down until its just right to mount up the pedal box, this flexxing you mention, is there anyway to secure that end? i'll be racing in the spring, cars only purpose so i have to have that right
