Hey folks, hoping to see many of you in person at Wicked Big Meet next weekend. I PM, email and gab on the phone with quite a few folks that I never get to meet, and anyone that knows me, knows I'm a gabber and love to mingle with the locals so events like WBM are a really fun time for me. But business is business and there is no better place to show new products being introduced. Last year we showed some pre-product versions of our entry level V2 Ti gauges slanted toward the STi owner with thier clean OEM look and amber lighting. This year you can buy them at the show. Last year we showed a one-off of our upcoming bellmouth downpipe and have since shown a metal substrated catted version. We would have been selling that one at the show this year but inventory won't arrive until early July :( - but now on to what "NEW" products we'll be showing at WBM that you'll be able to buy "real soon".

MadDad Ultra Series 60mm guages - these will be the flagship of the MadDad guage line which has been evolving over the past two years. There will be no shortage of features on these gauges. Everything from 50sec of record/playback, controlling of external warning lamps(as well as the built in), add-on functions like a turbo timer for the boost gauge and aux. fan control on the water temp, to 100% wireless remote control for setting all functions(no control box to mount). These guage have even been programmed to have the same style STi startup needle sweep with just the needle lit up during the sweep. They will also offer the most accurate OEM look anywhere. Keeping with MadDad tradition you'll see no logo on the face. And what a face it is:

We'll also be showing a new set of 32 way adjustable coil overs we'll be putting through there places shortly - we're waiting on the adjustable top hats but we'll have them at the show as well.

We'll be showcasing a new 04 STi style carbon fiber hood scoop. Not exaclty something new or unique, but this unit has by far the best finish work of any I have ever seen and I've been to SEMA each year and look at everyone's offerings so I can say this with confidence. You'll be impressed.

Last but not least we'll be showing off a new Metal Substrate Cat Retro-Fit kit. So you have a catless downpipe and would like to add a high quailty cat that won't fall apart after 12,000 miles like so many...Welll know you'll be able to add the same MadDad(TM) Metal Substrate cat to any downpipe with cut and slip-on ease with no welding. Sure to be a crowd pleaser.

No firm pricing yet, but somewhere in the $179 to $199 range with a pre-order slighty under that range. Figure a quality metal substrate cat runs $159 to $179 - so no matter where the price falls in that range it will be a very good value. The cats are design to our spec and have the shortest length of any off the shelf metal substrate cat out there, giving you room to retro fit to almost any downpipe. Basically it will be the cat with a 3" on the catback side and a slip joint connection to the downpipe side. Meaning all you'll have to due it cut, slip and clamp. Everything will be included except the saw :) . You get the same high quality metal substrate cat that has been used in the MadDad downpipes over the past 2.5 years so you know the quality is top notch(we've never had to warranty one of our cats), unlike the stories you here for certain cats that fall apart after 12,000 miles.

I have some FXT Whispers coming off production this week, but they won't make it here in time for a "showing" at the show, but we do have Whispers specific to the FXT(the canister is FXT specific, longer than the WRX/STi units).

Hey Rich, this may be kinda off subject but will you by chance be bringing any of the KYB AGX struts to the meet. I am seriously considering picking up a set from you, and I thought get them at the meet to save shipping costs.

I know someone that might pick up a 3" to 2.5" tapered mid pipe if one happened to be there ;) :) .

If anybody wants to check out a maddad V2 downpipe on a car, let me know. I'm very happy with mine. It is heat wraped but you'll get the idea.

The show organizer has a full MadDad exhaust on his car including a Whisper Dual tip. His car will be at the booth along with an STi with the hood scoop and MadDad Ti gauges intalled if anyone wants to "see" or "hear" some products. An EVO anda C5 Corvette will be at the booth as well. Why? It's where we are talking the Whisper exhaust line next(although not showing yet). Plus it's what my helpers are driving.

The MadDad(TM) Metal Cat Retro-Fit Kit. The best metal substrate cat now available for fitment into your existing catless 3" downpipe. All T304 stainless steel including the cat body. TIG welded and hand fabbed in U.S.

Using the same Metal Substrate cat as used in lastest round of MadDad(TM) Metal catted downpipes. This cat is built explictly for our MadDad(TM) applications. The body length is the shortest available in a metal cat allowing easy placement in mutiple spots. We use TIG welded slip joint connectors on each side allowing you to orient the cat with the 02 sensor either before or after that cat depending on your needs. In other words you can install this cat either way. Orient the 02 bung to come after the cat and you don't need to worry about cels if your not running engine management or don't bother using the bung if you just want to retain your 02 sensor in the origonal bung in your downppe. The plug shown is included. The overall length of the entire unit is just 8.25" but you don't need to cut out that much of your downpipe. You can install the unit in any straight section where you can cut out approx 5.75" inches. That means you can install almost anywhere. You can use it in the body of your downpipe right after the first bend off the turbo in the up high postition, or put in the down low spot just before the section that mates with your catback, or heck even put it in the intermediate pipe of your 3" catback. Just another "niche" solution product from the MadDaddy at MadDad(TM). As we always say here at Daddy's SCP. Anyone can sell you an exhaust, at Daddy's we sell you a solution.
