Anyone know how many amps these draw? Picked some up used and there was a relay included. I was under the impression that the ballasts could be wired directly to the stock fog wires.

Any suggestions on where to mount the ballasts for these also?

Hella Gen3 ballasts draw about 7.5A a piece at startup, and run at about 3A each.

IDK if you got the ballast boxes or not, if you didnt, it'd be a good idea to get them.

You can wire them directly to the fog light wires, but as always, when you upgrade lighting, you should really use a relay harness.

If youre not comfortable with rolling the harness yourself, Lightwerkz can provide you with a plug and play harness.

Thanks. I have some ballast boxes, but they are different than the ones you linked. They are hella ones that look like these:

Wasn't sure the best place to mount them.

Also does the polarity of the 12V DC to the ballast matter? Theres a blue and a brown wire on the plug but no indication of which is + or -.

Thanks

brown is negative.
