My KLight HID kit came today and I just wanted to give major props to the company for building an easy to install, truly plug and play kit.
The bad news is that one of the ballasts was defective, but my warantee ensures that I get a replacement ballast free of charge, which will find its way to me within 2 weeks. In the meantime, you can see my sweet "one HID headlight" mod". I'll post better pics as well as "before/after" shots once my replacement ballast comes.

DISCLAIMER!
I want to apologize for the ****ty quality of the pics, I have sold all my Camera gear to make room for my new 30D and lenses that I am buying in the next couple weeks so these pics were taken with some point and shoot digicam. They do the job.

Just to put into perspective how bright that HID kit is, my foglight bulbs are Sylvania Silverstar, which are supposed to be some of the brightest Halogen bulbs on the market. In the pics, they look awefully yellow compared to the headlight!

You bought a product that came defective, not too assuring....

You got new lights, where are the most important pics?

Like I said, final pics will come when my replacement ballast comes, which is in a week or two.

What I didnt say was I got a killer deal on this kit, but I got it with a three year warrentee thinking that for that price there might be something wrong with it, which there was, and its being fixed for free. So im a happy camper because I didnt spend a boatload for this kit.

It looks like there's alot of glare in the second pic. I'm looking forward to seeing cutoff pics as well.

Oh right, yeah well I figured it would be better to shoot those pics when I had two working lights. Im back to the Halogens right now but I left the car wired for HID so when the new ballast came I could just drop it right in. I'll update this thread in a week or two.

HID's are sweet. How much was the kit, and did it come with a level-adjust system so you can adjust the height remotely?

well I do believe the kit is normally sold for over 200 but I got it for 165 which is why I'm not at all angry about the defective ballast. For that price I got a 3 year warrantee (which covers the above ballast). Reason for the low price is evidently a buyer backed out of a sale leaving the vender with two kits. Vender is in the process of moving locations so vender sold kits at or near cost. I said "ok!"
No, it doesnt have the leveling system, and I need to remember to figure out how to adjust the factory headlamp leveling (if at all possible) so Im not blinding people.

even if you aim them at the ground, i bet those glare enough to cause considerable distraction and irritation.

I had HIDs in my RS as well, and while it looked cool, it was useless as ****. Also, i agree with Lightwerkz, i wouldn't be too hopeful that these will last long if they are defective out of the box. Even with the warranty, i bet you spend a bunch of time pulling parts in and out for replacement over the next year or so.
