Finally got my hella superton horn set installed thanks to most of scoobytech's help. I painted and assembled both sets, he's installing them. Hope and I bought a set each for our cars while at PDX and so yesterday I got around to dismantling them to paint the casing. She wanted black to blend in on her Legasti and I wanted white as a contrast to stand out behind the black grills of the STi.

I'll post up more pics of the install on her car once we do it. Right now just got mine in tonight.

While painting.

Indoors with the flash

Indoors without the flash, they don't stand out to much which I like.

Pretty small stock horn compared to the hella superton horns.

Now I want someone to piss me off on the streets so I can sound these bad buys off. :D

Looks beautiful Phil. I must say, I like the centered look, did you have to drill a new hole for it to be even like that?

Mavrik

nope no drilling. Dale used the hole for the outside air temp sensor bracket and moved that to another hole instead.

Nice color match! Lucky for you guys, I had to take my bumper off to get to the horns. Evo has some weak horns.

BTW. Got the Spring presser things?

Ah, I guess that works too.

You'll just have to use a different size bolt, a smaller one.

Mine are fine where they are, they are out of the way.
I love that color match though. Good job. Don't forget to floss. Tooth.

I'll get a pic today of how it looks further back. I took one yesterday but it was dark and overcast... you couldn't see the horns.

You should take off the black thing behind the center of the grill. That way you can see them completely. A buddy did this to his 06 and it looks a lot cleaner. All we did was remove it and paint the bolts flat black.

that sounds like a good idea... but doesn't that piece protect the hood latch from dust, bugs and other stuff from coming through?

LOL. with amount of dust there is when driving, that little piece of plastic is not going to help you much.

startin to wonder if I want the hella's. I make the mistake of setting off my car alarm at least twice a month and every time its so friggin loud that it almost scares the crap out of me. with the hellas it might not be almost anymore.

Mavrik

its from the brake upgrade performed on the Legasti.
