Any higher and you will be blinding drivers of oncoming vehicles. freshpl 06-19-2007, 01:43 PM not really my car is lowered so i need to adjust them smoSTI 06-19-2007, 04:35 PM I've never done this before, and even though the STi has adjustable aim, but this would be the first thing I would try. http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showthread.php?t=114718 rkramer 06-19-2007, 05:25 PM not really my car is lowered so i need to adjust them you lowered it more in the front then the back? no matter how low you go, as long as you went the same amounts you should probably keep it as is. WRX4ME LE 482 06-19-2007, 06:39 PM I think it would be cool to make the leveler actually functional. I mean I find myself keeping mine in the full up position all the time, so there's no use in having the ability to tilt them down. I would like full up to be bright and the middle position to be normal. aLargeVibratingEgg 06-19-2007, 07:51 PM There is some type of adjustment gear on the back of each headlight. IIRC it's different each year though, so I'm not making any guesses on what yours looks like. And sorry, but the headlights are WAY too low from the factory - so low that going below the highest setting is basically dangerous. I raised mine mucho about a month ago and I've only gotten the "eff you, your highbeams are on" flash once, and they were on the highest setting too. I do lower them in pity if I'm going to be behind a car for awhile. Mechie3 06-19-2007, 08:11 PM You need to pop a cover off the back of the headlight. There are two of these. If you look straight down on the (passenger at least) headlight you'll see a gap near the fender with a tab down inside. Pop this cover off to reveal a nut with a gear. In the middle of the headlight is another one attached to the motor. I think this has a cover too. LightWerkz 06-19-2007, 08:12 PM You do not need to pop any covers off the lamps. You just use a philips head (larger one) to screw the adjustment knob. And yes the lamps are aimied VERY low from the factory. drewzter 06-19-2007, 08:54 PM You do not need to pop any covers off the lamps. I parked out side about 6' from the Garage and shining on the door, raised them so that 2 is what 0 was. Now 3 is lowest, 2 is low. 1 is high and 0 is Rally mode. sometimes in the daytime I use 1 and 0 for helping slow left laners to see me coming and move. freshpl 06-20-2007, 12:01 AM found it thanks for your help guys now i can finally see at night |
