I've got 2 core shortblocks sitting my garage these days. They are both cores that need a full rebuild.
#1 1993 Ej20G WRX wagon shortblock. Won't turn over. Obviously spun a bearing. $150
#2 1995 Ej20G v2 STI shortblock. Known to have poor leakdown on #4 before the heads were removed. All other cylinders were within spec. $250
Don't ask for pictures because I am not taking them. We all know what early blocks look like. NO, these are not closed deck. They are both OPEN DECK blocks. And please don't start any BS here about how a v2 STi block should be closed deck. I am one of the people on this board who helped dispell that myth and verified that only an STi-RA would have a closed deck block in '95. If you want to debate that, start a thread in conversions and we'll talk there.
Buyer to pay any actual freight. Engines are located in Colorado. Figure $75-100 to ship in the lower 48. For Canada or overseas, PM me with your address and I'll get you an actual quote...
