I crashed my 99 RS in Jan, not total lost but quite seriously damaged. It is still in the shop after 1.5 month mainly due to slow Subaru parts delivery. I am considering getting a new one next year if finacially possible. However, there are rumors that WRX will arrive on North America in couple of years (2002 or 2003). Does anyone hear anything about this? This will definitely alter my decision.

I crashed into a civic's passenger side when he turned left right in front of me, I was going straight.

They'd never tell you, it would be impossible to move their current RS's if they did.

A month ago, Subaru of Canada was testing an european spec Impreza GT (215HP) In Chicoutimi (450 KMs North of Montreal). Many people saw them and reported that information to me. They tested car there because it`s cold and quiet I guess.

They were also testing the Legacy 6 cyl.

Richmond Subaru says that the Turbo will be rolling in to the showroom within this year.

It'll be here, what makes you think it will only be made available in the states? Canada is a very important market for subaru. a large %% of RS's were sold here. considering that we only have like 10% of the US population.

Yup yup...the WRX is coming to North America..late 2000 or early 2001. Went to a dealership and asked...stated it has 220hp, some STi parts and WRX badging. Pricing and other specs are unknown.

Another rumour i heard is that only 5000 WRX will be imported per year. Dunno if that's true...but we'll have 2 wait and see.

Just wanted to let you all know that the WRX is alive and well in Australia! I recently went to visit Subaru of Australia with the Subaru Canada team. The WRX is already on the market there and we were treated to a test drive. Wow! It is an amazing vehicle. I have pix if anybody is interested. Subaru Canada tells us it will be in the 2001 line-up!

Hmmm, I thought the new Impreza wasn't even going to be released in Japan until June. Did Australia get it before Japan (!) or are you talking about the current style of WRX?
