View Full Version : Stock fog light sucks!

Heavy fog last night, I was happy to have a chance to test the stock small project fog lights. Result: I was so disappointed...it does NOTHING! All I could see was 2 light spots on the ground about 1 meter in front of the bumper! I try on/off several times on HWY 401 found there is no difference for visibility! I would think the angle setup was wrong or it just simply sucks? I have much stronger desire for Ver V bumper plus big fog lights now...

Yep, the stock foglights don't really do anything. They are also aimed really low and even if you adjust them a bit higher, they still don't really do much. When I get my V5 bumper, I can't wait to shoot down damn SUV's that have foglights aimed right in your face.

They're not that bad. You have to re-angle them... It's an easy job (20min.)... It does a world of difference.

Now with the stock fogs, most big trucks or vans keep flashing me. They think I have my high beams on but when I flash them, they realize differently. (I have all stock bulbs).

For aftermarket lights, isn't there a law for the maximum road wattage you can use... I'm sure you can't simply put some Hella 4000 on your car just for daily use...

Thanks, Robin,
I'll re-angle them & put 55W=85W H3 bulbs before I get V5 bumper!
