Where do people go? My dealer is telling me 150$+ to replace my blades??? is there an aftermarket source or what?

+1, I replaced mines with the Bosh Icons. They work and look a hell of a lot better then the stock ones. They cost me around 25 bucks for both of them.

are you serious??? $150 for the blades? does that include lube? (and i'm not talking for the car parts!)

i'm seriously hoping you didn't take your car to the dealer to have them replace windshield wiper blades. if so, make sure they change the muffler bearings and tail light fluid while they are at it! (and they happily will do those services for you if they charge $150 for blades)

anyway, you hopefully are talking about the entire motor/trans assembly for the wipers. yep, those things are expensive on any car. your options are either dealer pricing, or junkyard, take your pick...

They claimed that for one of the arms, it has to be the whole thing, and they don't sell just the blades. Can someone post me the link for the Bosch Icon's?

Tire Rack has several blade varieties. Walmart has cheap temps for 2.49ea until they arrive. A search will get you info on the choices.

First: STOP using that dealer. That is the sickest thing I have ever heard of (assuming that they don't mean the motor and everything). You should also let SOA know about that one. And people wonder why dealers have bad names.

Dude, unless they are talking about the arm that holds the wiper and the blade. Autozone a beer and a cheap set of hand tools is all you need

i actually just got some "JAMAK GLIDER" blades from wally world for like 20 bucks for both, they work great, the only problem is that the drivers side blade the end that when up is closest to the car dosent fully contact so it leaves a tiny streak but other than that they work great. they look almost like the bosch icons which i almost got but they were liek 20 a blade. also, takes 3 seconds to install, just pop the only ones off (theres a latch) and pop the new ones right back on. no tools are even needed, besides your hands anyway. btw mine is an 02 WRX so the method of changing may be different for others, i dont know.

Bosch Icons, $20/blade and do it yourself. :) Easy and better blades than OEM by far

Do the Bosch Icons "lift off the glass" at high speed since there is no spring support arm on them? Just wondering because I am considering them for purchase.

Go to Autozone or Pep Boys tell somone there to find the blades that fit your car, buy them and have them install them. They do it FREE!!!!!!! Once they are done, pick up your jaw off the ground, it is that easy and cheap. Call SOA and complain.

I bought some Valeo Ultimate blades from TireRack and have been very happy with them and their quietness and lack of streaking.

Go to your local Nissan dealer and get p/n 28895-3W400 for the LH refill and 28895-2Y910 for the RH refill (refill = just the rubber part). It should cost you about $10 and they work much better than the original Subaru wipers.

That is crazy unless it is for the entire wiper arm assembly and all.

The Bosch Icons are designed without the spring support. Not only don't they lift, they wipe much better because the pressure on the windshield is much more uniform.

They are the best wiper blades that I've ever used, and well worth the $20.

+1 for Valeo blades. Lasted 3x longer than Bosch Icons I had before that.

Same concept for the both and the new Michelins also @ Walmart

Wow what pieces of s***s. Goto Advanced Auto Parts and you can have a set for half the price.

I have Bosch Icons(I think that's what they were called). They're nice and better than stock.

We charge under 40 for blades here at the dealership using Subaru parts.

Crooks. They just lost all business with me.

Only reason I paid it was because I wanted the OEM STI air wing for the wipper, rather than the 5$ full replacement from walmart

I got mine at Kragen. cost me less then 20$ for both though I cant attach the air sheild thing. Don't know why the dealer claims I had to buy the whole assembly for the one side.
