ok so I took the crossmember/trans off yesterday and noticed there is a ~1" spacer between the crossmember and the frame rail. there are also ~1" spacers on the front trans cradle..

my question is can I use the wrx tranny mount without hte 1" spacer, and can i remove the 1" spacer on the crossmember?

anyone done this?

If you've lowered the suspension, you should probably ditch the body spacers.

thanks! any idea if the rear diff has spacers on it too? i havent pulled that yet.

Just peaked at a simular car... Looks like the rear subframe has spacers too.

These spacers have me intrigued... Makes it easy to make a body lift kit for an Impreza or other similar model (even the Forester)

iirc, they should have spacers above the tophat as well, thats what gives the lift, the member spacers probably just keep the suspension geometry the same.
