8/23 - 17x17x7.5 box on porch, No TMIC, only bubble wrap

I had some friends on another message forum measure their sti tmic, and the length is 20.5. I would think that if you put a 20.5" piece of metal in a 17" carboard box, it would deform, or have holes in it from the mounting tabs. No such damage on my box. This guy obviously tried to sell this part multiple times. He also told me that he had shipping insurance on it, so that would make 3x payment for 1 part.

Paypal wont refund my money because he did send 'A' package.

Listen Javier. I have a box, full of bubble wrap, that I know an intercooler CANT fit in, and you have MY MONEY. Tell me how / why I should not be upset. I do NOT have an intercooler.

By the way, you have YET to address the box size issue.

I challenge ANYONE on this board to fit an STi intercooler in a 17x17x7.5 box, without deforming or poking any holes in it.

Im not talking crap about anything, just saying, I have a STI TMIC I sold and Im shipping it tomorrow morning, and I just took a measurement of just the TMIC and along with the lil side brakets that come on each side measured close to 22 1/2- 23 inches long. So is impossible for a STI TMIC to fit in a 17inch box

I have a feeling that since he sent it with his 'roomate' to ship, there is some funny busniness going on, and I am at the short end of the stick.

The fact is, I received a box full of bubble wrap, just spent another $245 for an intercooler, and he has ZERO interest in helping... That makes him a scammer, I dont care how much money he has (which is $275 more now that he has mine).

FYI, the box that the IC was allegedly shipped in is a FEDEX box number 157871. Marked as a 17x17x7. If anyone needs any other pics of it, it's still sitting on the floor by my back door, next to my splitter, which is of no use until I recieve my Y-Pipe that I had to buy from another guy, to go on the IC I had to buy from a local today.

Well, you need to post up what the resolution was. Either there was a big misunderstanding or somebody was full of isht. In either case, you can't accuse someone of being a scammer then just sweep it under the rug and make it go away.

Javier refunded my money, and I will assist him, if he needs, filing a claim with FedEx to get the insurance money.

I bought a aem wideband from javier recently. I sent the payment on 8/17/08. I received a package in a very reasonable amount of time. I opened the box and it was packed very tightly with packaging paper. So tightly that there would not have been room for the wideband to fit along with the paper. I was wanting to believe everything was on the up and up to begin with, and was just a simple mistake.

I was building a motor for my car, so I wasn't in a hurry to have the wideband. We agreed to wait a little while to see if the gauge turned up. He said he would keep me informed. He never gave me any info, unless I sent him a message first asking what was up. After about a month, I told him I had my motor pretty much ready to go back in, and needed either the wideband or money to buy another wideband so that I could tune my new motor. He said, "Let me try one more time and if nothing, then ill get ya your money".

Two weeks went by after this with no contact from him. I finally sent him another message asking to please just refund my money. It took him a day to respond. He said that he had been at school all day and didn't have time to respond, but around 3:00pm that day, he responded on a thread about some other good he had for sale. He had time to respond to someone else, but not me. He said he would have me the money by friday. Today is saturday, and no money.

I stumbled across this thread recently and had a moderator re open it. I'm hoping this will help, as it seemed to work for the OP.

If you see this Javier, I'm very sorry to do this. I put it off for a long time. I tried to be reasonable, but it's been long enough. I will keep this updated untill this issue is solved.

Is he pointing out that lip that he sold to "TJ" , and the STI Intercooler sold to ZR2_S10 thatnever showed up?? ...I've bought just about everything I can online for the past 10 years, and have never had and empty box show up! I think it's not just a coincidence anymore :huh:
