(http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32) piker28 08-13-2007, 12:10 PM plus you just more or less got a brand new car, why not run your struts till you kill them? NA impreza~J 08-13-2007, 12:48 PM do research while running springs on stock strut...then decide...u might go with a some other set-up in the end...trust me...im at that point right now... Jonny07subie 08-13-2007, 01:22 PM plus you just more or less got a brand new car, why not run your struts till you kill them? answer: stock struts are not made for a drop...therefore why not change out spring/struts at the same time so u dont have to do it again! piker28 08-13-2007, 01:29 PM wrong, some springs are designed for stock struts.. so you run into no issues IllNastyImpreza 08-13-2007, 01:34 PM wrong, some springs are designed for stock struts.. so you run into no issues yeah but don't they retain stock height? piker28 08-13-2007, 01:36 PM sure, if they are stock springs ha, otherwise no IllNastyImpreza 08-13-2007, 01:43 PM sure, if they are stock springs ha, otherwise no so there are lowering springs out there that are designed NOT to wear out your stock struts? I thought that because you where operating the struts at a lower ride hight that it would wear them out much faster... Mod please move this to suspension :) Jonny07subie 08-13-2007, 02:48 PM basically, if u plan on lowering your car...ur prolly going to have to change out ur struts too..unless u dont mine taking everything apart again once ur stock struts blow out NA impreza~J 08-13-2007, 05:49 PM Prodrive where designed to work with stock struts. Ours is the same as the WRX struts. Also what I have now...also what I'm bored of now.... Soon to install Tokico D-spec with RCE yellow springs with group-N mounts. That being said, D-specs have been the recent popular choice. Seriously...the mass amount of products and combinations have all been tried by fellow Impreza drivers. Read and then decide for your self. Only you know what you want. |
