im doing a whole dash swap i have a 97 subaru impreza outback 2.2L and i just bought a 2000 impreza rs dash center etc... just want to know is it plug and play situation?

Doing the same with my L. I searched and searched but couldnt find any relevant info so I'm wondering the same question.

from what i know, it is not. im not positive about the heater controls pluggung i, but i m pretty sure the other stuff is not.

Scobaru (sp?) has done it before - it's a lot of work! You need pretty much everything that sits behind the dash, including the main beam, "L" bracket from the passenger side, steering column, etc. There's also some drilling the firewall and wiring involved.
