AKSubie: The stickers are going to be here soon. We have been putting a bunch of them on because of the enormous response to our discount offer. A stainless exhaust would be nice but mild steel is a sutable substitute. Just think about how long a OE muffler system lasts. It's made out of mild steel and withstands the harsh weather. I think the MRT full exhaust is comparable in price to getting a custom exhaust from a local muffler shop plus it has MRT racing experience built in.

What is the best option to go for?

I've seen some really BAD tint jobs - and that has always turned me off from doing so. But if it is possible to get a good job done in town - I'd be all over that...

Sunshades, the same building with Perfectionist. They have tinted about 3 of my cars so far. I just went there today to have some bubble fixed and it was no problem. I had Shades of Competition tint a 2000 RS and they put 2 different shades of tint on the rear window and said that was normal. I think they have done other members WRX's here also.

people who did the silencer mod:
what did you notice when you first drove the car with the silencer off? are there any problems that it may cause?

AK_2002_WRX: We have a TurboXS type-H RFL, TurboXS HP Boost controller, and STi replica hood scoop on the way if you want to check it out. We also have an INjen and an MRT intake in stock along with an M2 uppipes.

I think the first thing people noticed with the silencer mod is the sound of the stock BOV. I have to say, that with the AEM intake and GFB BOV the sound is incredible. I thought just the BOV was fun. With both of them, they put the smile back on my face.

MrJoe: I'm anal about tint jobs and I look for every imperfection. This makes my opinion very critical. I had Shades of Competition do my 2001 GMC Sierra extended cab. They matched the front windows to the stock tint on the rear three windows. They did this last winter. By the way, getting your windows tinted during the winter sucks because the water that is trapped between the tint and the glass freezes. It eventually evaporates but the extended cure time was a PITA. They did alright. Then, I had them do the WRX in 30% all the way around. I looked at the tint and the job they did was horrible. There was creases in the tint where the tint had folded over. It also looked like they rubbed their cat on my windows then applied the tint. Also, they soaked the interior and didn't bother to wipe up the mess. Their excuse was that they have a new installer. I didn't like that excuse because their whole business is to do tint! The WRX is difficult to tint because the door windows don't have a jamb to hide in. The windows rest against the seal on the body of the car when the door is closed. So, every opening and closing of the door is a possible moment that may affect your tint. It isn't that bad. I'm over exaggerating but I would go to someone else such as SunShades. Winslow

My friend with a 1978 Pontiac got his windows tinted at Sunshades about 2 years ago. It was a good job, no creases or bubbles or anything. And the tint was quality also... a nice 10% everywhere... I plan to bring my car there...

AK_2002_WRX: All the stuff Alir offered you are good parts. I think the GFB is one of the best designs. The Injen is a really nice piece. And the C-west spoiler is tight.

You know I have the AEM intake and GFB bov. Combined they sound unbelievable. The BOV makes a crazy tumble sound under light loads. I think it might only be related to the GFB BOV not sure though.

i use a hobby knife then sandpaper with a fine grit or give it to me and i'll shoot it with whatever color u want!

I assume you are talking about the TurboXS UniChip. The UniChip does work. We took Ben's out so he could send it back to TurboXS to get remapped. Then, we took his car out for a drive. hahahahahaha. It sucked. Ben did you send that UniChip out, yet? You need to hurry up and get it back. If you're serious then I'll get it. The updated TurboXS Unichip has been remapped and comes with a boost device which is similar to the Vishnu chip.

When the throttle got stuck? I don't think so , as that is what the rev limiter is for. When GetaGrip autoX's the redlines the engine sometimes when it takes too long to shift on a straightaway...

Winslow did you get a boost controller yet? I really want to see how your car performs with one since you do have full turbo back.. Your car should make about 300hp!! So far I only got bolt on mods But I'd really like a 1g head, intake manifold and street grind high performance cams. And a Green turbo to go with that. That puppy will fully spool by 4krpm and flow 730cfm!!
But i'm not that rich yet. So far I have a 3" cat back, 2.5" test pipe and down pipe. Ported EVO III O2 housing (connects turbo to downpipe), FPT28/28 turbo, 550cc injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, S-AFC, EGT, A/F, and boost gauges, Proffec B boost controller, Upper intercooler pipe, 1g BOV, K&N FPIK, and a high stall Torque converter. I'm going to try, but I don't think I'll be able to take advantage of the cars prowess on such a small course. The tighter turns don't really help with the fact that my car's turning radius isn't optmimal. I think I will have problems with the slightly modified AWD cars.

Can save some money with one of those pieces. The old Impreza L pitch mounts are the same larger mounts used in the STI. When I did my swap I noticed the L's was a lot beefier than the WRX's so I searched around and found out it's the same as the STI's. You should be able to pick one up at a junk yard for 10 or 20 bucks.

The Sti pitch mount likely has stiffer bushings.

It did have some small rubber bushings molded in, but this site is saying the L's are made of the stiffer rubber.
