View Full Version : i/c spray icon comes on at 4k rpm...hmmm sti.2005.blk 09-06-2007, 04:17 AM well as it says, each time i get on the gas a little bit about at 4k rpm my i/c icon goes on and im not sure what the problem is, does it do this when spary is low or do i have a problem?? Firestrike 09-06-2007, 05:09 AM Well, have you checked your fluid level. Is it low? Have you filled it? Mechie3 09-06-2007, 08:46 AM The light means your fluid is low. The level sensing float is in the front of the tank so when you accelerate, water moves backwards, float goes down, light comes on. Add some water. Jaylyons1 09-06-2007, 08:57 AM yep as said, spray is low, I first learned this on the twisty's Mavrik 09-06-2007, 01:16 PM hope this is on topic... I'm approaching winter here for the first time with my STi. Should I change out that water for anything? I don't want the bottle to freeze and have the lines break or worse... You have an intercooler but only the STi has a sprayer. missiceblast 09-06-2007, 06:51 PM WHEW! thanks Phil! Wes_FSTGDB 09-06-2007, 06:52 PM The I/C spray tank is my windshield fluid tank. So it always gets W/S fluid for the winter time. Just add some of that in there and you're good to go. I would think that'd be easier than draining it and getting all of the water out. -Wes asianhulk 09-06-2007, 07:38 PM Thats a thought. not that I need to spray the intercooler in winter. but just don't want the lines to crack I filled about a quarter of a gallon of windshild wiper fluid in mine for the winter when i used it as a sprayer |
