Does anyone remember if you could get a black RS in 2000 or 2001? I know that they were offered in 1998 and 1999, but cannot remember seeing any from 2000 or 2001.

hey Kris! I checked out tirerack and they do have the RS in black for 00/01,not sure if it's accurate though..(their upgrade garage)

I believe there were some black one's made in 2001, but none in 2000.

Kris wants to know because he is planning his next top-secret project.

Not that top-secret. Of course she knows. It's his way of living life without a Subaru through the Honda.

My fiance knows all about my plans to get another Subaru after we buy our house. She is probably going to tell me just to go buy one since I keep talking about my plans for the next car.

But it is good that I have time, because I need to plan my return, so that I can have a better looking Subaru than Winslow.

Well, I don't really want to know, but I'm willing to guess. Black 2001 Impreza, WRX drivetrain swap, some sort of body modifications, maybe the 22B look except that's an expensive kit so maybe not.

I don't know why Kris asked about a black car. I think it was a ploy to distract everyone from his obvious first color choice. His friggin' color is YELLOW! Look towards the engine more....around the top. Only time will tell.

Let me just say that I like the looks of the old body style better, but after feeling the results of forced induction, I must have that too. But we will see, I want to see what the STi will be all about if and when we get it.

I am positive I saw a Black 2000 RS for sale a few weeks ago in the ADN. I almost made a call.......

I think I saw it out-and-about the other day, though I can't remeber where.

I just saw something when searching around today that said they only made black ones in 98 and 01. Also, when I search around on online classifieds(autotrader, yahoo classifieds, etc), I can't find any 00 black impreza's. So I'm pretty sure it was just 98 and 01.

Got Boost? Need Boost is more like it. The RS would be a kick in the pants compared to the WRX if it was turbo'd. Imagine the torque plus the boost. Hurry up, Kris!!! Doesn't that sound fun?

Well I know they made them in 98 and 99 (since I have physically seen those two years in black), and if you saw one a 2001, then they might have made them in 2000. Well I guess when the time comes I will have to start the search, but we will see.

Look around on the online classifieds. You can search nationally on yahoo and autotrader, etc. I can't find a single 2000 Black RS, I did find 2001's though. That would lead me to believe no for 2000.
