You had 10 days from the time I went from a "dispute" to a "claim" to respond to PayPal.

The complaints to paypal went unanswered, and so they sided with my claim. However - had you provided them (or me) with tracking info, they would have sided with you. Since there was no money in the account, PayPal left me high and dry. No part, no $.



If you have the part now, why not overnight it to me with tracking?

Even after all the hassle, I will GLADLY reverse the claim with PayPal if you send me the part.

I remember the day I was in Reno for a tune and my AP wasn't updated. I drove home 150 mi. updated my AP and drove back to Reno. Boostin_Sti was still there several hours later waiting for his tune. When I drove up he was just starting his tune after waiting all day. He saw me pull up, knew I had driven all day and stopped his tune to let me go ahead. I had never met him before that day. That says alot about his character in my book. He didnt even end up getting his tune that day because it was getting too late. Once this mess is cleaned up and "Saab gets his Cobb" I hope everyone can put this behind them. Its amazing how strong the wrath of NASIOC is. With Ebay, SAAB would have never got the community behind him to make things square. Great Lesson for all involved on several levels. Thanks for standing up and facing the music BooSTIn_StI .

There are some considerations to look at when analyzing this entire story (money). SAAB originally put in a dispute through paypal stating that he did not receive his item from BoostinSti. Paypal goes through their process of investigation, and once this hit high priority, Paypal automatically pulls the funds from the seller (in this case, BoostinSTI), IF the funds are available.

SAAB clearly showed the screenshot (shown below) of paypal's actions and what they were able to pull out:

In this case, even if boostinSTI had $50 in his Paypal account, Paypal would've retrieved this during their investigation/retrieving process and would've notified SAAB that they could only recover $50.

Paypal doesn't 'hold' the money, if anything they want this out of the way because it's just another high priority ticket that makes them look bad if they don't solve it. Since it's boostinSTi's move (through Paypal resolution center, as shown in the bottom of the screenshot 'Seller's action requested' not 'Seller has responded' or something else.

Yeah it makes sense that if boostinSTI had the funds, this is on 'hold' by paypal, UNTIL boostinSTI authorizes Paypal to send this refund payment back to SAAB.

It's all in the Paypal Resolution Center help topics. I've experienced this situation before, and I know what get's communicated by Paypal to each end of the party (seller or buyer).

Hope this helps SAAB, and hope that you get either the AP or your money back.

This is a serious matter, but it's been going on for entirely way too long. Yea, we heard you over and over again, you would never scam anyone yet your stories are off the wall crazy talk. The paypal account is not even set up under jason's name.

Someone owes PayPal $550, but three different NASIOC users emailed me his paypal info from past deals, and it's from at least two different paypal accounts.

I have a "pending refund" from my Credit company, but they will have to fight PayPal even for the charge-back.

As far as "getting away with my money," I make a decent living, but when I spend money, even on credit, it is very time consuming to fight with PayPal, my cred card, and to try to get the seller to cough up the goods.

It will eventually be credited back to my account, but it is still ON the monthly statement, under "Contested Charge - Investigation Pending."

So, yeah, in a way, this toolbag gets a free loan, temporarily or not, while I chase his ass for A MONTH to no avail.

SO, yes, someone is hopefully in the red $550 in a paypal account right now.

Likewise, I have to jump through hoops, fill out affidavits, make phone calls, post here and PM here begging for a tracking number that I was promised multiple times (AND, GEE STILL HAVE NOT F**$KING GOTTEN), AND NOT GET MY CAR FING TUNED for weeks on end, while booSTIn_STI and Renosubby get to go have fun at a tuning day.

This guy is a seasoned scammer. I am 99% sure he was scamming under SLCrex over the summer. He got a few of us for some decent cash. Grant Aaron was his name as far as we could find. Just FYI. SLCREX = Brandon J. Diaz (aka NASTYSS, Steve Hunt, Jared Hunt, Grant Aaron, Kyle Simpkins, Travis White, and more I am sure). His last known living address was in Las Vegas, he was on the run from the feds stealing peoples names and defrauding alot of good people out of hard earned cash. He was caught in FL on 8-3-07 and is currently in Utah State Prison serving on a parole violation, he is also on a Federal hold for charges ranging from impersonating a police officer, to ID theft/fraud, internet fraud and theft in Palm Beach Co, FL; Las Vegas, NV; as well as here in Utah. I found alot more out searching for like NASTSS. Alot of info in FL and NV.

His last kown living address was in Las Vegas, he was on the run from the feds stealing peoples names and defrauding alot of good people out of hard earned cash. He was caught in FL on 8-3-07 and is currently in Utah State Prison serving on a parole violation, he is also on a Federal hold for charges ranging from impersonating a police officer, to ID theft/fraud, internet fraud and theft in Palm Beach Co, FL; Las Vegas, NV; as well as here in Utah. I found alot more out searching for like NASTSS. Alot of info in FL and NV.

i dont know a lot of people in the reno sparks area but from what i have heard the driver of this blue 05 wrx is a guy named JASON....i dont know if its the same guy. My friend actually was freinds with the people in the pick up truck and he told me that one of them was pronounced dead yesterday and the other is still in a comma. rip to everyone in this horrific accident. this sucks for everyone. :(

Boostin' has packed-up shop, and is on NASIOC as a different user.

He has not been here under the "boostin" Id since Nov. 16 (but now that I am talking about him, I am sure he'll mysteriously show up again).

He's a liar, a scammer, and a piece of crap.

I got 500 different stories from him, but since I "refused" to call him, it's "my fault."

People like boostin' join NASIOC about once every four months, rack-up decent feedback, scam someone, then join again under a different ID.

A MESSAGE TO BOOSTIN': You are a lowlife, scumball. You basically took a $550 loan at my expense, and at the expense of whoever's PayPal account you are using.

Meanwhile, I waited a month, then TWO, with no part. YOU and your queer buddy renosubby went and got fkin' PROTUNES while I drove around without my $550, and with no AP.

I have said before, I wish you no physical harm, whatsoever. But I do hope that you end-up homeless, and begging for another $5 hit of meth, or whatever you're hooked on.

You are so lucky that your local police are as dumb as the Comedy Central,
"Reno 911" cops. If you had pulled this crap in TX, you'd be in jail right now. I will not rest until you are in trouble for this, however. You need to face the music, and at least refund the $ to paypal, so they will complete this and credit my card the $550. I know you won't though, because I have dealt with scum like you before.

If the only reason you scammed me was to help finance your tune, I hope you blow your motor and have a turbo meltdown.

Damn man. I spent the last half hour-hour reading your story. That sucks... I'm fairly new on Nasioc as I post mostly on i-club. But reading this makes me scared to buy anything from anybody. THat's why I prefer meeting someone locally. I'm sorry to hear this story. But even though there are people out there that are righteous and do good, I'm still scared ****less to be PM'ing So-and-so for that ballin Cobb AP deal, when they're not locally within the area.
