never did this until I installed hid's. I'll be driving on the freeway (getting airflow I guess) but when I get off on an exit, my driver's side light flicks out. When I turn the car off at the store or whatever and come back out and start the car back up, turn the lights on, they both come on normally. My car doesn't overheat or anything it just gets really warm under the hood after driving a little while. I have both ballasts mounted in open areas under the hood, I wonder why only one turns off?
btw I have a 1992 svx

try regrounding the ballasts..sometimes the stock ground isnt enough

Ok I'll try that. I swapped the relays and it's still the same light doing it, so that's not the problem.

If the grounding check doesn't work either then you might try swapping the ballasts and see what that does. If there still isn't any change then the light itself may be the problem.

they're stuck in place, don't really want to move them. I checked the wiring on the problematic one and don't really know how to ground it better? Should I take the black wire going into the stock plug, strip off a section, and run it under a chassis bolt?

No, I don't think thats necessary, If the light comes on its not just gunna loose the ground ou tof nowhere, sounds like It may be a ballast problem, Try Cougar's advice of switching up the ballast to see if it happens to the otherside. Its basically trial and error when it comes to 1 faulty HID.
