So I'm browsing ebay last week and come across an auction for an EJ22 intake manifold...

And won the auction for $29.99 shipped.

I am pleased because now I have an extra manifold that I can port and polish and paint plus all the crap that's attached to it.

I got the manifold in the mail today and everything looks good and its exactly what I expected but it's slightly different from my car's intake.

The purge canister solenoid is different, the coil has a 4th mounting point that is used, and the injectors are red tops. All of the connectors are the exact same so I know its from my year range of engine.

What I'm curiois about is the injectors. Did Subaru make a red top injector from 96-01 and if so, what is the flow rate? They are side feeds just like mine.

yeah you will find great deals like that. i think it was 2 months ago or so i sound and uppipe and shorty down pipe combo for the 2.5rs with the 38mm wg flange on it for $55 shipped. great buy though. you can't buy some of the sensors on that for less than 30.

Wow......Good idea. I think I will attempt to do this as well. I wish I would have thought about it. I decided not to go with Port and Polish due to not wanting to be without my car for a long period of time. This would resolve that.
