How good is the automatic transmission on the car it bone stock car with 100k on it iam getting it for $5000 but worried about the tranny it for my wife.

Probably about the same as any auto transmission, they can last until 200k-300k depending on how it's been taken care of. My 2000 is at 140k and my 93 is at 200k, they were bought used so I have no idea what kind of service has been done or how much longer they will last but they are currently working fine.

I have a 00 GC6 auto with about 87K, and I have no problems with the transmission whatsoever. In fact, it still is relatively smooth.
