Hey Nasioc!! I have a set of those cheap ebay projector headlights and they worked fine for about 6 months then the wires melted on me. Is there any way I can rewire the headlights by new wire or not?

yes you can but you are pulling to much juice and you bulbs are not using the accsess. hence the melted wires. so its your choice. i bought some of those POS. they were wired wrong and kept my high beams energized the whole time and wouldnt allow my fogs to work. i tossed the things was to much of a hassel

the wires on the headlights. iirc they are three prong. one is for the grounds, but some companies forget subarus use a aswitched ground, so you have to switch them. that way the highs arent always on. that is why the fogs wont work.

I have no clue what you just said lol But after I took those cheap projectors out and put my stock ones back in they wont work right anymore. High beam is low beam and low beam is hardly no light. My foglight switch doesn't light up and I have no fogs anymore and its driving me crazy

do it the right way. Take it to a dealer and have them rewire the lights to avoid further problems.

sounds like yo uneed to replace the sockets for the bulbs. when i had mine melt in my gc8, with circuit was closing and turning on the high beams. and yeah i would say dealer if you are eletrically inclined.

a GC8 is a 2000 and older 4-door 2.0L impreza sedan.

However, this is the generic term generally used to describe the older bodystyle imprezas.

Guys, I did the same thing years ago. Cut out the old plugs, get new ones from an auto parts store, and re-connect the wires in the same order you had them originally. Ditch the crappy bulbs and if you want something brighter get the sylvania silverstars. They're a little more expensive, but a good alternative and they can be found at any walmart.
