I was told by my friends it's good to use them injector cleaner from time to time. You know them little bottle you put into your tank after your filled up the tank? I never use anything less than 92 and never late for maintenance or oil change. But for a while there, the car feels 'funny' if I use them injector cleaner. Funny as in feels like loosing power or running more 'harshly'. And if I stop using them after a few tanks, the car seems to run better! Any idea? I use them about every other tank...

I always put a bottle of Chevron Techron fuel injection cleaner in at each oil change. 30,000 miles & no troubles so far.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I would NOT use injector cleaner every other tank. I don't care if they say the stuff is safe for O2 sensors- it was NEVER designed to be used that much... Once every oil change is a good rule of thumb.

I see... Darn it, my stupid friends... Oh well, it's too late now... So what kind of damage could it have to the O2 Sensor? And how? Thanks for the tips guys!

My bad, I meant the Gas Treatment thing, or STP Fuel Injector & Carburetor Cleaner. I remember reading the back every time when I use it. I do recall some say every tank and some every other tank. I usually use the ones from STP. I just visited their site and the only one I saw that should be used at every oil change or so is the 'Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner' or the 'Complete Fuel System Cleaner'. And I have never used either one of them. So I guess I have not 'killed' my car just yet. Good thing to know...

If that is the case, it brings me back to my original question... How come my car feels 'funny' when I use them Gas Treatments? But feels better when I don't? Any more ideas?

Thanks!
