i just got my 1999 rs coupe w/ 18000 miles on it, as you know, its phat. anyway, i think there might be something wrong because when i am slowing down to stop, there is a faint noise coming from the rear of the car. It almost sounds like there are some nuts and bolts rumbling in my exaust can, but thats only what it sounds like. it may be closer to the front of the car than the exaust, my friends dad said suspension, i saind center diff. however i have no idea so gimme yours please much appreciated.

Do you have a stock exhaust??? Or do you have the tools in the trunk loose.

My '98 OBS has started making that noise...along with a squeak...when I slowly accelerate. I was assuming it was a loose heat shield. It also squeaks when I turn right and left now. But the acceleration noise sounds like pebbles in a metal vibration.

heat shield, exhaust, exhaust hangers...

could be any of those...

could be worse...

if it's under warranty, have it looked at... that's what the warranty is for http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
