I have a 98 Impreza L and was wondering if wrx or rs wheels (goldies or stock wrx) will fit? I know that I will probably need something like 205/55/16 or 205/50/16 right? I have stock brakes but may be upgrading to the 4 pot all wheel discs.

i have a stock L except for the 225 50 16 tires on 16x7.5" rims. it came with 195/65/15 on 15x6.5" rims. next im going with 215/55/16. i like the meaty sidewall. 205/55/16 will work just fine on a 16" wheel. if you plan on upgrading brakes however i would look for a 17" wheel as some brakes do not fit under all 16" wheels. the tire sizes are relative. if you add width, take away from the height. 225/45/16 215/50/16 205/55/16 195/60/16

if you change your wheel height just take away from height of the tire one increment.
225/50/15 215/55/15 205/60/15 195/65/15
225/45/16 215/50/16 205/55/16 195/60/16
225/40/17 215/45/17 205/50/17 etc

also make sure that with the offset you keep your clearances. if the information is available most likely it should be used. there is a tire faq by luke at tirerack that rocks till dawn. read it
