STiShawn 12-07-2007, 10:22 AM Shane, I remember reading (somewhere) that it has a lag on the live update info...is that true or was that an earlier iteration? I'd like to use this in leu of a boost gauge etc..
Paranoid Fabrications 12-09-2007, 11:07 PM you can set it to update it quicker, BUT, i wouldnt use it for a boost gauge.
anything else, sure, just not as a boost gauge.
Shane
B16A2NR 12-10-2007, 02:46 AM This wouldn't happen to have a basic clock function would it?

Paranoid Fabrications 02-08-2008, 01:20 PM well, checking my manual it onlys says, fast, normal, and slow :D
normal seems to update maybe once a sec. but i wouldn't use this for a boost gauge.
i will try to get the actual numbers from then shortly

Sparticus 03-15-2008, 07:47 PM Does the scangauge AFR work with a wideband O2?
Paranoid Fabrications 03-17-2008, 01:44 AM work with?
this reads from the ODB2 port.
Shane
H-Dtech 03-31-2008, 01:38 PM does this come with any kind of mount, or is that something I would have to make myself?
Sparticus 03-31-2008, 03:02 PM work with?
this reads from the ODB2 port.
Shane
I researched it and found out that I needed to know.
I hope you keep these in stock since I will be ordering one in the next couple of months from you.
Paranoid Fabrications 04-02-2008, 01:53 PM no mount is included. most people double side tape them to where they want.
also, the new gauges have a HP and TQ feature :D not sure how accurate it is, but its there.

Paranoid Fabrications 04-11-2008, 07:06 PM I'll do one at $155.00 if your still honoring that price ...
i cant as that is below map pricing and i got almost cut off for that :D
but, if you can find a lower price from a approved vendor then mine i will match it.
Shane
eatus ravenous 04-19-2008, 12:29 PM so all functions available on this tool will work on a 2007 wrx tr ?
Paranoid Fabrications 04-21-2008, 12:38 AM I think a few dont work. not sure the fuel pressure works on the suby.
Shane
redbishop 04-22-2008, 06:58 PM Happen to know if there are any compatibility issues with Japanese OBDII ECUs?
Paranoid Fabrications 04-24-2008, 01:26 PM there might be. some seem to work while some swaps seem to not want to work. however, on the ones that said they didn't work, they have not got back to me to see if the suguestions i gave them worked or not. but it seems that most people have having no issues with swaps. but, if you do get one and it doesn't seem to work let me know, and as long as the parts still look like new i can take them back.
Shane

growling_boxer 05-20-2008, 04:00 PM with all the CELs my cars have been throwing lately, it seems like this is a no-brainer. i just can't remember my paypal password here from work.
the $20 is for a second cable, right? also, we will get the pricing listed in this thread if we buy through your link on the first page, right?
MConte05 05-20-2008, 04:25 PM Just ordered one from you guys!
Paranoid Fabrications 05-20-2008, 07:33 PM you have been paid via paypal please get it in the mail

with all the CELs my cars have been throwing lately, it seems like this is a no-brainer. i just can't remember my paypal password here from work.

yes, your total will be what is on the main page.
Just ordered one from you guys!
Thanks, will be shipped out first am :D
growling_boxer 05-20-2008, 08:26 PM just ordered mine. woohoo! $163...close enough...
CoolRex 05-21-2008, 10:17 AM Can you read KC (Knock Correction) and Advance Mulitiplier with it? Those values are supplied via the OBD2 port.
Paranoid Fabrications 05-21-2008, 11:21 AM I dont think so. the full list of items is on the main page.
Thanks
Shane
CoolRex 05-21-2008, 12:30 PM Man I wished it did. I don't want to shell out $$ just for the realtime display of those two values. ScanGauge needs to step up the plate!
Black07SS 05-22-2008, 08:57 AM shane wasnt trying to be mean, just end of the day and happy i finely found something to replace that silly clock, although i might 3m it down on the steering column right in front of the parking switch.
anyhoo do you have any pics or instructions of anyone that has put it in the clock pod?
Paranoid Fabrications 05-22-2008, 03:05 PM shane wasnt trying to be mean, just end of the day and happy i finely found something to replace that silly clock, although i might 3m it down on the steering column right in front of the parking switch.
anyhoo do you have any pics or instructions of anyone that has put it in the clock pod?
I know, just giving you a hard time :D i dont have mine hard mounted because i keep lending it out to people :D i usually have mine in the din pocket under the radio.
Black07SS 05-22-2008, 04:18 PM i have screen so that spot wouldnt work, i think i am gonna try it on the steering column, should work ok right there
MConte05 05-23-2008, 10:12 PM Got mine today, love it so far! Though still working out some stuff. I think I may end up making myself a custom DIN pocket for it, or else go ahead and replace the clock with it.
growling_boxer 05-23-2008, 11:45 PM got mine today, too. it's pretty fun, and has an impressive amount of colors. i'm having trouble figuring out why the mpg seems so much more accurate sometimes than others. but i cleared my misfire, so i can try to track down when it is triggering. pretty cool. definitely worth the money.
MConte05 05-24-2008, 11:29 PM And I will also have to say, that fireball really burned my mouth, I had to spit it out after a few minutes. Damn you Paranoid Fabrications!
:diaf:
Paranoid Fabrications 05-29-2008, 07:39 PM ha, nice.
just a FYI. i am out of stock of these and have more on order. but seems ScanGauge is also out of stock and will be getting more in next week. all orders that have been sent in have been shipped but any new ones will have about a week delay.
Thanks
Shane
FXTMatt 05-30-2008, 02:21 AM Do you know if you can recalibrate speedos with this? Like a change in tire size has made the speedo way off, can you correct it with this?
Thanks
Matt
scutzi128 05-30-2008, 09:58 AM How does this measure fuel economy? If it does it via injector pulse what if you have larger then stock injectors?
growling_boxer 05-30-2008, 10:06 AM you set and calibrate your fuel tank size. you calibrate your speed/distance measurement, and then it can measure your fuel economy fairly well.
Paranoid Fabrications 05-30-2008, 01:06 PM Do you know if you can recalibrate speedos with this? Like a change in tire size has made the speedo way off, can you correct it with this?
Thanks
Matt
not sure about that. sorry
growling_boxer 05-30-2008, 05:53 PM you can send custom commands through the OBD2 port, so if you know one for recalibrating your speedo, then probably.
however, you can use the speedo on the gauge, and recalibrate that. the only issue is that the update rate is not satisfactory for a speedo...i only use it set my cruise control.
scutzi128 06-02-2008, 03:27 PM Will this gauge also woprk with other cars?
Paranoid Fabrications 06-04-2008, 02:41 PM yes it will it works with 99% of ODB2 cars. i use it all the time on other cars.
Shane
K-A-N-U 06-12-2008, 04:36 PM Does anyone have pictures of the ScanGauge installed in the clock pod? I'm interested in seing how it looks during the day and at night
Bishop 06-12-2008, 07:04 PM Does anyone have pictures of the ScanGauge installed in the clock pod? I'm interested in seing how it looks during the day and at night
sorry only night pic here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1519571
growling_boxer 06-12-2008, 07:51 PM according to the guy who posted that pic, it is not a scangauge, but a custom screen hooked up to UTEC. it does look like a clean installation, though!
i just have mine on top of the steering column with the supplied velcro. i like being able to remove it, so i can read any CELs that show up on my Legacy.
Bishop 06-12-2008, 08:21 PM Doh! You're correct. Sorry.
Paranoid Fabrications 06-17-2008, 03:01 PM just to let you guys know, i am out, but should have more today or tomorrow. seems these things are in huge demand with the current gas prices :D
Shane
Paranoid Fabrications 06-18-2008, 01:41 PM ok, back in stock and ready to ship.
Shane
mcu81 07-02-2008, 11:37 PM http://www.scangauge.com/support/vehiclespecific.shtml
reading @ their website says theirs more that can be displayed from vehicle specific gauges?
Can you now read other parameters from the ecu?
growling_boxer 07-03-2008, 07:59 AM yes, but i don't think any work with subaru...at least not in my experience with my 05 STi. the communication protocol used doesn't have any extra features listed except the HP that's listed for all...i haven't tried that one yet.
seanvetter123 07-12-2008, 09:38 PM great service, quick, and i got candy and a sticker!!!!
ordered it at night and like 5 min later had a invoice saying it was shiped out tomorrw. lol and 3 days later it came in.
